Amazon Prime shipping gone to hell?

I have gone years and years without issues with 2 day shipping, but that mostly came UPS/FedEx and sometimes a last mile carrier. However since they've gone to USPS, it seems that 1 out of 4 shipments doesn't make it on time. Anyone else that's a Prime member having issues with USPS?

All the time. It's at best slow and I've had it literally take weeks for a package to get to me.

I don't know what BFE podunk shanty towns you guys live in, but Amazon is always 2 day for me. Usually, they don't ship until the night before any it is delivered in the morning.

I live in downtown Saint Louis

The packages get handed off to the USPS just fine. After that...

Atlanta and these are packages shipping from warehouses in neighboring states. The last 4 late packages all get to Atlanta from either South Carolina or Tennessee in a few hours and then sit for days at the main hub here. Never had this problem when it went FedEx or UPS.

They have had issues the past few years and if a 2 day requirement for prime was something you only wanted it's no longer an option for a lot of places anymore.

Nope. I always get stuff same day, next day, or the following day unless ordering at night or over the weekend obviously.

My 3rd amazon order of this week will be arriving Friday that I just ordered.

A lot of the stuff I see on Amazon I can get on eBay or somewhere else cheaper. Some things I can't find anywhere else. But apparently if you don't have Crime (Prime) the shipping takes forever. That's one reason why I don't buy from Amazon all that much. The damn shipping time is ridiculous. I can get my stuff at eBay in about three days most of the time.

It didn't used to be, but it is clear now they purposely hold back shipping to make Prime look better. I remember getting any and all packages from them within 2-3 days. Now they don't even try, the 'ship' dates are always planned a week or more out. Basically...you are paying for something you were already getting.

True, to those of us who remember the $25 days... Now its $49 and literally takes two weeks.

I posted in one of the other Amazon shipping threads that I had just over 200 orders this year of which most were prime, and all the prime orders got here in 2 days or less, and some in 1 day. Shortly after that an order of four items came in 2 shipments - 1 in two days and the other one in 4 days. The first time they've slipped.

I find Amazon Prime to be super reliable. I get almost everything delivered direct by UPS or from an Amazon delivery service.

Prime is worth every penny at this point.

I'd say about 1 in 12 prime packages show up late for me, and a lot go through the USPS. When the USPS last mile started I had some issues with it, but now any delays I've had have been on the Amazon side.

I am not sure about starting to. I know before I got Prime 2.5 years ago, it was always taking weeks for them to ship. The straw for me was when I ordered a bunch of computer parts half from Newegg and half from Amazon. By the time I finally got the Amazon order, it was past the return window for any Newegg items, and I still didn't get it until I had called multiple times to complain.

I used to only buy from non-Amazon dealers because they are required to ship within 2 business days, while Amazon was whenever they felt like it. I did finally break down an sign up for prime, but I am sharing it with 4 other people, so $20/yr (all legal, they let you share it).

So the tracking info on my latest delayed order finally updated. Looks like Amazon transferred the item from it's TN facility to the GA facility. Amazon then sat on it for an extra day and finally shipped. So USPS wasn't the issue, but rather Amazon sitting on it.

I know it's a petty argument, but at home all week and was excited to play Final Fantasy XV yesterday.

I find they are late and sometimes never arrive. Like that 3 pack of 500GB SSDs USPS attempted to deliver on a Sunday to a business then mysteriously lost.

What irks me is the 2 day shipping is starting to slip all together. Bought a red dot last Thursday with prime shipping. It is arriving today. That is not even close to 2 day shipping.

For me, the shipping usually works the way it's supposed to, even with the USPS handoff. The difference is that orders are now shipping 1-2 days after I place them, instead of the same day.

I have had more issues with the Amazon-operated (well, contracted, presumably) delivery service (missed dates, etc.) Both the PrimeNow and the same-day trucks. But I'll probably see more of them, since there's a warehouse in my area.

Many times I get orders earlier than the promised date. 2 UPS's I purchased on Monday that were promised for today were delivered yesterday afternoon as the latest example.

I have my stuff delivered to work since nobody is home during the day. The other day our USPS carrier dropped off several packages including one of my two Amazon packages. The other he took back to USPS to hold for pickup. The tracking showed out for delivery and everything.

I also have an order that I placed Monday afternoon that is guaranteed arrival Friday. All items were Prime.

How many threads about Amazon shipping can there be? There's a new one every week/month and the responses are constantly the same thing.
