camelcamelcamel did not catch that price drop apparently, it was so fast, probably lasted less than 1~2 hours

Yosemite and a 13" mid 2009 MBP.

I guess if all else fails, I can put it into my desktop and put its older Intel SSD in the MBP. If neither work, well I will just have to suck up the loss.

The good news is that you're unlikely to have issues, and if you do, it's pretty well documented and you'll get help. I haven't had any problems, despite overriding that "feature". That being said, I had no issues rolling without trim. That'll depend on the drive and usage.

I had problems with an M500 in my laptop. It refused to wake from sleep mode then on the subsequent hard-reboot was corrupt and completely un-fixable.

Swapped it with a Samsung 830 I was using in a desktop and both drives have been rock-solid to this day so YMMV.

I'm about to pull the trigger on the Intel 730 480gb myself.

It's been jumping up & down the last few days on Amazon.
The price in the OP was correct when he posted it, and several times after too.
It seems you just have to be quick and grab it when its at $80 before it jumps back up again to some seemingly random higher price.

The Newegg price/link for it has been steady since it was posted though. :thumbsup:
