you can only use one coupon at a time right? crap in the pantry is so overpriced, it doesnt make sense even with the coupon.

Not sure, as they only just started it, but with the $1 option you could just keep accumulating it. I'll know soon.

With the $5 pantry credit option, I'm willing to wait on almost every delivery now.

I've built up some $200+ in Amazon pantry credit that way.

i havent been able to justify even bothering with pantry. i live 5 minutes from a grocery store and only need to go once a week. the pantry prices arent that good, and paying extra for shipping is silly.

subscribe and save i love, however. /mmm coffee

I have Amazon Prime for well over 5 years now and never had any packages arrive late yet (knock on wood). When I shop there, I always look for items that are sold or fulfilled by Amazon and never had any problems. On several occasions I even bought items that show only a few minutes left for them to be delivered the same day expecting that the items would arrive early next day. But by dinner time, the items I ordered arrive at my doorstep.

I ordered some zip ties from Amazon and it was a day later than they said it would be!!

Amazon apologized and gave me a $100 gift certificate and they flew me in their very own corporate jet to their regional office and gave me a tour and bought me lunch!!

the part of that story that intrigues me the most is the zip ties. what were you going to do with those, huh?

You know I was actually happy at first with just apology and nothing more, but it pissed me off when I learned that people who complained more got free shit.

Probably around 1/4 of my packages come late, and 99% of the time is Amazons fault. It could be because I usually order my stuff during the last hour or two of when you can to get it on time.

I have only had a couple of issues in all my years of shopping at Amazon & they were doozies. In both cases Amazon not only made it right but called to follow up with me. Let me say Laser Ship used to be soon bad, things seem better with them now.

I believe policy is you can write CS and they give you 1 free month of Prime (which is true, I did it once) but only up to twice per year (i.e. 2 months of extension).

I love Prime, I can buy & return with essentially impunity and it has spoiled the crap out of me to the point where I look on Amazon to see if they have what I want before I buy it anywhere else, within a reasonable price window (5-10%) just to get it in 2 day.

It irks me that 2 day shipping from Wednesday or Thursday can be Monday or Tuesday the following week because weekend delivery is an additional premium - that isn't really 2-day at all, is it? But, I do receive items on Saturday (and Sunday!) without paying the premium so really it's a wash, just have to watch when I order stuff.

Not recently, but I had several packages arrive late in a row. I chatted with CS on each one and was given $10 credit on my next purchase and also a free month.

Damn. The best I've ever got was a free month of Prime, and every time they've sent me something in error (like 4x the item I ordered) or every time I've had something faulty requiring replacement, they've wanted it back. Even when it was a smashed package of LED light bulbs..

Maybe it's how you ask, I had a small item fail to show up. They shipped a second item, this time 1-day shipping and extended my prime membership by 30 days.

Well Amazon is known for having good customer service. I've experienced it as others have as well even before there was Prime.

Sounds like it.

It is nice when they throw something extra your way if there was something they screwed up on, but really I don't think it is necessary most of the time unless it is some sort of really bad screwup that totally ruins everything. And yes, I've had them mess up on me before. Things happen, I'm not mad, and they don't make it a habit to screw up so whatever.

If more companies would would stock more things then we wouldn't have to depend on Amazon so much. Wait didn't Amazon put them out of business? I'm just clowning around I think. I'm have Prime and it seems more convenient to have its one stop shop for most of your stuff. My late arriving orders on the two day have been few and never more than four days. Didn't complain.

And the only time I messaged something negative was to try to cancel an order for a 27" pc monitor because I found a better one a couple hours later. It said it was too late to cancel the order before being processed to ship. And I didn't return it when it arrived. I don't want that on my Amazon record. Anyway I can eventually trade the monitor to a friend or coworker for equipment they have.

I never had an issue with USPS, my issues almost always are due to Amazon shipping the product late, and not shipping company being late.

Last year when I first signed up for Prime I gave their Instant video a try. I noticed a British sitcom I liked (actually have the DVDs) and watched the first episode. Yesterday I went back and low and behold it isn't free anymore. I now have to pay for the exact Britcom.

Sorry, I feel the same way with Amazon over this that I did when Sony removed my ability to install an alternative OS on the 1st gent PS3. No takesies-backsies.
