AMD 1.2 GHz (AXIA). Should I run it at 10 X 120 or 12 X 100?

I'm not clear on what I should set the FSB to when I get it going. I will have an ABIT KT7a to run it on.

also what does the 266 FSB exactly mean, compared to a CPU with a 200 FSB?

266fsb means, what the speed is of the bus, that connects the Northbridge and CPU. 266fsb offers a significant increase in performance over 200fsb. I'd set the multiplier to 133x9.0. You may need to unlock the multiplier if the chip is a 200fsb chip.

Actually, most of the 1.2 ghz(and higher) chips are not locked.

9x133 if u have a kt133a chipset(or any other 266mhz mother board)

allthough I have heard if chipsets like the kt133e running 266 allthough they are spossed to run 200mhz

KT7E while only certified for 200fsb, it eaisly hits 133 and beyond. I'd oc the fsb as much as you can, and just keep on lowering the multiplier. More fsb bandwidth is better.

The KT133E will do up to about 137mhz or so just fine. HOWEVER, the KT133 orignal chip will almost never go over 110 bus stabily, so 10x120 isn't really an option on that one.

I'd recommend 133x9...It helps the other equipment that operates on FSB, not CPU speed.
