Just need some opinions. I am upgrading my PC currently from socket 939 to socket am2. The motherboard i've decided on is the ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe Wireless Edition with the nForce SLI 590 MCP chipset although I am having problems making a decision on a processor.
Currently I have a 4400+ 939, now I don't know if I should go with a 4600+ am2 or FX2. I feel silly thinking about getting the 4600+ am2 considering its not a vast improvement over my 4400+ 939 and there is the FX2 which very well may be a huge improvement, but its costly. I'd rather spend the extra cash and get something that has decent improvement over my 4400+ 939 instead of just getting a 4600+ am2.
Is there a huge performance difference between the 4600+ am2 and the FX2?
I'll be using 4 x 512mb PC5300 Mushkin DDR2, 2 XFX Geforce 7950 GX2s, PPC 1 KWatt PSU.
or should I just go balls out and get a E6300EE?
