I am some issues with my new Rig Specs Below

AMD 64 3500+ running at 2.3ghz
1 Gig PC 3700 RAM
80GB HD
X800 XT PE (Sapphire) running at Stock


I have been having some issues while gaming with this new rig. I am getting pretty low FPS in HL2 and other games. I noticed on 3dmark03 my CPU is scoring really low compared to other machines.

I have updated all my Drivers on the board, Vid Card, etc. I can't seem to figure this out. Is anyone else experiencing this type of issue with their AMD 64 3500+?

Also I have tried running in Dual Channel and Single Channel and I see no difference. I am getting very discouraged and frustrated after dropping cash for this rig. If you have any idea's please do let me know!

more info needed... what is LOW fps? and how LOW is your 3dmark03? Also what mainboard, and what memory timings, and brand. Also, what PSU (how many watts, and brand name)? and what is your FSB?

When referring to the 3dmark03 scores its strictly the CPU score I am scoring 200.

Low FPS I am referring to is 20 and it does not matter what setting the graphics are set to which I assume is the CPU issue.

I am using a Thermaltake 480W Power Supply Unit.

Motherboard I am using is hte Gigabyte GA-KNS Ultra-939

Per CPU-Z my ram settings are as followed

DDRAM 512X2|OCZ PC3500 433M (my apologizes its not 3700 is 3500)

Frequency 209 mhz

Some other information for instance if I run a game on Super Low Resolutions I Get the same FPS i get on Max 1600x1200 for instance So this is why I refer back to thinking a CPU issue.

I use same cpu but yet to play games and stuff becuase video card didnt come in.
Anyway why do poeple ask for what powersupply they have? I have a shuttle SN95G5 and it only has a 250 powersupply.
And can someone please tell me what cool and quite does exsactly and how i enable it?

A side note on CPU-Z my CPU doesn't report a BUS SPEED is this normal?

I have als foudn out I had cool and quiet enabled so I tried disabling it to see if that helps.
