How is the stock AMD HS/fan on the Skt939 chips? I dont really want to drop $50 on a HS. Is it quite (like <25db) and good enough if im not going to be overclocking much?

Not just the CPU, but the Lanparty UT NF4 is down to $150 too. Very tempting, but $300 for the combo plus $180 for a PCI-E video card is pushing $500. I can't afford to save money at these prices!

whats a good mb to go with this 939 chip? I have the old amd64 3000+ with a msi k8t neo board, and I love the cool and quiet feature, any 939 board has that feature too? I really need to keep up with the changes...

All AMD boards that I know of have Cool 'n Quiet. Some of them even take it a step further and monitor all your case fans (provided they're plugged into the board).

The DFI Lanparty UT Ultra-D would be (and was) my pick for a board to go socket 939. Its awesome. I've been able to get over 2.5Ghz easily with it on a 3000+ (running memory 1:1, one with a x9 and a lower mem/fsb speed, and the other with mem/fsb at 300 and x8.5 multiplier). If I had either a more stable power supply and an OCZ DDR Booster or a 3200+ or better CPU I'd be able to hit higher than that with no problem.

If you're not an overclocker, well then this is the time to learn.

WOW, I so want to order all my parts today but I don't know, should I wait till next week, maybe wait for better deals because it is President's Week? Are there usually good deals on parts during presidents week or should i just get my parts today and a pci video card for like $10 just to have a working computer till I can get either an X800XL or just get a BFG 6600GT OC.
