As mentioned prior in this thread (and now reiterated again), you may want to make use of Anandtech's Price Engine RSS feed, which already does what this thread is attempting to accomplish in real time - in other words, it is constantly updated.

More information available here.

So if Newegg is gonna lose a customer because their price is too high then they might as well lose that customer to themselves (ChiefValue).
As far as I can see none of the contact information for the 2 sites is the same. That makes me wonder if Newegg = ChiefValue is really true?

That RSS is of limited use and seems to be in beta. It does't take into account vendors, shipping or oem vs retail. I meant to reply to you on this earlier sry. Currently the anandtech rss feed points here for the AMD 64 3200+ 939. This is from a vendor I have never used for an OEM product. What I'm much more interested is here. This is from a vendor I know and for about seven dollars more gives me the retail cpu. I set up the rss feed as soon as I saw it offered but so far it is only good for a general idea of prices.

You may want to more closely reexamine the RSS feed through an appropriate reader. All the above contentions are incorrect save the OEM and Retail options. All the vendors discussed in thread save ChiefValue are included, and all prices include shipping (if a fixed cost). From the aforementioned thread, the included vendors are currently:
allstarshop
axion technologies
computer3g
crucial
dealsonic
dell
directron
dumping goods
ewiz
eebuy
envision
gameve
kingston
monarch computer
mushkin
mwave
ncix
newegg
pcnation
pcprogress
spartan technologies
tigerdirect
z-buy
zipzoomfly
You may want to reiterate the OEM and Retail issue in that thread. One user mentioned it already, but the more that do, the more likely the staff will consider the option.

Also, more than one vendor is listed for each component; in your specific case, appears at least four vendors are listed for the 3200+ Socket 939 (including ZZF). You may want to make use of an RSS application that offers filtering. Use of a filter rather easily dissects the data when searching for a single component.

And yes, the RSS Price Engine is still in beta, as the thread indicates. For those more comfortiable with a non-RSS based price engine, Anandtech offers this alternative as well.

You might as well wait for the prices to come down a little more before buying one. Or wait for the next version of the A64.

Ummm, do you even know that the E0 SS cpu's are NOT gonig to be lower end, at least not to start with. Their arrival will not effect the 3000 or 3200 most likely.

Actually, you can in the RSS engine (although misspelling Winchester makes little difference in this case).

Search by the core delineation. Examples: ADA3200DIK4B, ADA3500DIK4B, etc.

I like how Monarch will throw in HL2 and FarCry though...soooo tempting right now to me since I need a new mobo too (along with a new PSU since my Antec TruePower 550's fans died-if you have a receipt for an antec truepower please please please PM me, I lost mine and I need one for the RMA).

Well, how about this? How many retailers sell ROSEWILL parts? I've found exactly two....Newegg and Chief Value. Take their Rosewill nVidia GeForce FX5200 128MB video cards.

Newegg's part number: N82E16814164024

Chief Value's part number: CF14164024

Manufacturer's part number (both sites the same): SH5200-128DVI

(Of course, ChiefValue's price currently is $45 w/free shipping and Newegg's price is $52.98 w/shipping.)

See any similarity?

Agreed they are one. I made my first order from chief value this week and it's originating in Edison, the same place all my Newegg orders originate from. Anyone finde one of the 3200's for under 190?

Believe he/she is referring to the retail version. Of course, it is difficult to know as he/she does not specify such.

Lets keep this post alive, it is just eating ActuaryTm alive that we want to talk to each other about this stuff rather than use an engine for pricing and hot deals.

Also Newegg's parent company is ABS computers Link

Found this out from Aopen support upon buying one of those refurb deals that you supposedly can't return. When I called Aopen they gave me the run down on Newegg.

Many thanks for the humorous interlude prior to calling it an evening. Sadly, no, I am not pining away in an effort to construct ways of defeating this or any thread, nor do I despise open conversation in any form. If any of that were true, why on earth would I be a part of this community to begin with? On the contrary, anyone that frequents Hot Deals (or any of the other segments of this forum, for that matter) enough to have developed any sort of reasonable opinion would know that quite the opposite is true.

I do hate to see such raw inefficiency, however. Seeing effort and man (or boy, as the case may be) hours used to produce anything already readily available is something I do indeed appall. When speaking of a product similar to this component (say, processors in general), unless one or two vendors are offering a significant discount, an equilibrium price will exist across the majority of competitors. Just the nature of a free market economy with an item(s) such as this. If such is the case, by all means do post those special discounts at those select vendors - that is a Hot Deal. Confirming essential price eliquibriums is not, and attempting to recreate the wheel with this thread is regrettably grossly mispent time.

Hopefully that clears up any misconceptions and misunderstandings.

"Bueler? Bueler?"

Sorry I couldn't resist. But the real time pricing stuff hasn't been working... rss or not. The price I quoted for the 190 at Newegg (Retail) never surfaced in the real time pricing engine. As for the reason for this thread it was my belief it is related to rumors which said amd would be cutting prices starting February 14th. It looks like this was at best an overstatment with the only real price drops in the Opteron line.
