I recently put together a new winchester 3200+ with an MSI k8n neo2 platinum mobo and I am overclocking it to 2.5 with 1.5v. However, my temps aren't that great. I have a Zalman cnps-7000b all copper hsf cooling it as well as 4 80mm panaflo h1a case fans. My case temps hover around 23-25C usually in my dorm here at school.
My cpu temps on the other hand, are where the problem is. I idle at ~40C but once I get to full load from either prime95, superpi, or folding, they jump to 53-54 instantly and slowly working their way to 56-59C and settling there. I am using AS5 applied with just a blob in the center of the heatspreader and the heatsink spread it out by itself.
These temps seem really high for this setup. 1.5 volts isnt too far off the stock and the heatsink I have seems to be pretty respectable. Its not the best for OC'ing but it should do fine since its pretty I have seen others hit these speeds with their stock AMD heatsinks. What could be causing the extremely high temps?
The computer is over 12 hours prime stable even with these temps. However I play WoW a lot and sometimes after playing for a while, the game will crash. I'm not sure if this is related to the temps as its the only thing that seems unstable on my computer.
