AMD A64 3500+ 939... Price Increase?

Over the past week. I've noticed a significant increase in CPU pricing.



3500+: Just a week ago it was 30 bucks less.

Is there any particular reason for this stuff happening? I'd like to upgrade soon.

Thats because newegg sucks. Thats even a Newcastle 3500+@$295.

I've been following a few different places. All have increased in price about 30 bucks over the past week.

My question is why?

Googlegear has dropped the price. I waited and waited for it to drop, it was at $295 two weeks ago. It went to $286 last week.. and I ordered it. Now its at $278. mwave dropped the price as well.

So it has not gone up in all places. Newegg just is priced high on a lot of things.

The Newcastle is known to oc better (with sub zero temps) and not be subjected to the problems of the Winchester when those temps are applied. A lot of the winnies do not like/can not run sub zero.

Oc on air I would go winnie
Oc on sub zero I would go newcastle

I don't think sub zero temperatures are of much concern to us mere mortals. You're just too 'leet for this thread.

VERY few people use phase-change. I sold my Mach II, just wasnt worth it to me.

The Whichester is better to overclock with for 99.4% of people. (give or take )

The fact stands newegg price gouges all the time now.
