eWiz.com

eWiz has a five buck coupon code available in Computer Shopper magazine that brings the total down to $86.67.

Need some DDR2 for the new CPU?

Holy smokes that is a good price. Even without the coupon it's awesome.

Excellent post btw

Wow, you'd think with all these crazy deals on AM2 chips the 939 X2's would at least fall to a reasonable price, but nope.

There's still a big market with lots of people who still have DDR memory that won't go to AM2 for a while.

Great price on this deal, has me starting to look around for motherboard and DDR2 bargains that will upgrade me from an AMD Athlon XP 2500 OC rig. Been putting it off waiting for Directx10 midline video cards though.

Actually, an X2 3800+ AM2, Abit NF-M2, and 1GB DDR2 667 comes out to $241.17 plus shipping at eWiz.

They don't directly compare; the 6150 chipset offers the best integrated graphics solution on the market (even comes with built-in DVI on the motherboard). It still has some overclocking features built-in.

Yeah, just a little bit of overclocking... such as some people being able to run stable at 400MHz HTT (using reduced multipliers). I've run mine at 365MHz HTT unstable, and 360MHz HTT stable - on a fixed multiplier Sempron. It has voltages that put other boards to shame. It's not just "one of the best overclocking micro ATX AM2 board" but more "one of the best overclocking AM2 board."

No, 360x8= 2.88GHz for a Sempron 1.6GHz. I can creep into the 2.9GHz range, but doesn't seem fully stable.

Well, I am thinking whether to go with the aforementioned Abit NF-M2 or Asus M2N-E (w/ 570 Ultra), coupled with X3800. Any suggestions?

At this price, it would almost be cheaper to get some DDR2 and the AM2 riser card for my motherboard, than try to find a 939 X2 cheaply...

I meant an AM2 3800+ at $91.xx it is damn cheap, especially with 2GB of Super Talent ram for ~ $125.
