Carrizo for FM2+, with x8 PCIe. 3.8Ghz turbo, 3.5Ghz base.
Carrizo APUs (with GPU enabled) cannot be used on FM2+ platform. That´s because FM2+ has two main voltages (CPU & NB) available, while Carrizo requires three main voltages (CPU, NB & GPU).
Also the number of PCI-E lanes has not been cut down, Carrizo only has x8 lanes available, while the remaining four are required by the FCH (x4, UMI interface).

And it becomes weaker... Seems that AM3+ will outlive FM2 hard.

Learn something every day. Thanks.Carrizo has 2mb l2 cache in all its forms. As a tradeoff, the cache is faster than Kaveri's L2
Is it multiplier unlocked? Excavator at $70 on FM2+ w/ an unlocked multiplier might actually be viable for very low budget builds, depending on how well it would overclock
the l2 cache is more of a problem, and considering pricing and model number, I guess the 845 is not really going to do much against the older Kaveri X4s

I don't think the 8 lanes are a big deal, specially if you use with a 3.0 VGA

Likely will outperform all Kaveris and Godavaris except 7890K due to IPC improvements. L2 cache is smaller but a big bit faster.
Anyway, would be cool to have a review of one on the webs.
It looks like these clocks show, that the Excavator cores created with HDL are operating beyond the efficiency crossover point compared with Steamroller APUs at the same TDP, which have higher clocks and an activated GPU.
I think that if VIA has a processor with 3.5 GHz, they likely would trash AMD...Yeah, half the cache and half the pcie lanes. Killed any appeal it might have had for me
