Holy Chrome, you could make a killing making these chrome boxes and selling them to Rappers. Freaking sweet man, if I could afford a chromed out box I would jump on it, looks way better than the TJ07 I'm ordering soon. Hummm maybe I could have the first chromed out TJ07 that would rock.

Sure, but the cost of polishing and plating your TJ07 will be five times what you paid for it. It's extremely expensive application with several steps involved.

I wayyy underestimated the time that would be involved in the assemble of the case yesterday. Started late at 4pm and had to call it quits at midnight.. I forgot that all of thread holes in the chrome plated parts had to be re-taped. That along with missing odd-ball screws (4/40 x 1/2") among others, were misplaced or lost. Spent an hour at the local hardware store searching for fasteners.. In any case, heres some of the Bling that awaits assembly

What you're looking at in these pics, flawless chrome plating on the corner of AGP Vent, The left side access panel pieced together temporarily... Note, like the top panel in my last update, the recessed portions of the panel will offset with matte black vinyl. We didn't have time to paint, so the next best solution was matte black vinyl..The mesh will be painted Matte Black, to help offset the chrome, add depth to the reinforced features. Even with all of the Black bakground, this will be the most "Blinged-Out" computer evar.

Yesterday I spent most of my time sleeving cables/wires with Black sleeving. Tedious work, but I hate messy cabling. I hope whatever PSU arrives is pre-sleeved from the factory. I can't afford the time to perform more sleeving. I also had to make fan wire extensions for 2, exhaust fans in the rear door and side air intakes. I re-installed the SwordM's pwr/reset which are electroplated chrome plastic and the chrome plated Zalman ZM-MFC1 fan controller beneath the case front I/O panel. Perfect match of switchs. It's gorgeous. I'll take a photo today and post it soon.

The top panel is finished.

What psu are you using? Corsair and Ultra have a real nice modular cable system, flat cables are the tits! I just ordered a PC P&C 610 that I plan to rewire after testing to make modular but I want to find those flat wire. Performance PC offers sleeving services and will convert to modular cables also.

Does performance pcs just cut and add molex inline near the psu? How do you plan on modularizing your 610? I recently bought some microphone connectors to modularize my psu knowing space was limited but, when they came there ended up not being enough room for the connectors inside the PSU so I'm having to add an aluminum project box external to the PSU to house the connectors and keep it clean.

DA, Performance leaves short dongles w/ molex. A review. As to what I plan,,,, I'm clueless, I bought a kit to replace all the molex and some extra connectors, I'll decide on a plan when I get there.

Ah, perfect, thanks. Does your PSU have a 120 or 140mm fan on the bottom? if so, then plan to do something external. I'll have pics of mine up, errr, sooner or later, once my body decides to stop being sick so I can do something other than sleep when I'm not at work.

The 610 has only the 80mm exhaust no bottom fan and the case is a little deeper than average. I don't have it yet but what I'm thinking is to reverse the fan to blow in, not use the top of the psu case but fabricate the psu into a duct that will incorporate 1 of the 120 fans in the top mounted radiator to exhaust the psu. I can mount molex into the bottom of the duct and I've also got an idea of a power rail running down the back / right side if the drive bays w/ molex to plug in short jumpers. dunno yet????

Jesus those parts look NICE, that's beyond talent there. I can't even imagine how bad ass the final case will look. Will probably have enough chrome shine to even make Ludacris scratch his head in amazement.

Sorry for the long interlude since my last update.

My wife's family is in the middle of a crysis that started Tuesday. I've been comforting her through this, so getting online wasn't a priority over the last few days.

I emailed my AMD contact this morning to see if it's not too late to ship this over to CeBit on Monday. I have no idea if he reads his company email on the weekends. It would miss CeBit's opening days, but maybe make it time for the peek weekend crowd.

I haven't had a chance to take decent pics. Bare with me through this situation, it will be worth the wait!

Don't worry about it Gronk, do what you gotta do, get the family taken care of then get that case taken care of, we'll see pictures of it when you have a chance or when CeBit coverage winds up.

Thank you!

The case is finished! My goal was to present something original with a Sci-Fi theme that oozed hi-tech. I also wanted a hint of something Biomechanical without the gore element.

The swordM's best asset is that you can't always distinguish the front from the back. You find yourself walking around it to study everything.

VISTA SUCKZ!!!!!! don't even get me started guys ...hehe (shakes head)

Today, I'm actually reconsidering my thoughts on painting that black BlueRay drive to match the case. I didn't want to upset somebody, but Hey! it sticks out like a pimple and I need to practice what I preach!

I think the drive would look better if you hid it with a stealth plate. Do you have another drive bay plate?

Chrome it or stick it behind another bay cover. It does stand out quite a bit. Some cork-board and silicone and a little time on the bandsaw and it could blend right in, as though it weren't there till you pressed on it in the area of the button and it would slide open. If the bay covers are chromed plastic you could tape off the cover, draw the blue ray symbol on it, much larger even, remove the tape and sand or powder blast the chrome off so you'd have the blue ray symbol, larger than it was on the drive, front and center and in a nice black contrast.

no time to chrome plate it unfortunately....

AMD is sending me 3Dmark's suite today, we're loading Crysis tonight, I also got a new 27" Dell flat panel for testing.

I took this photo wed night of the system after reformating the HD. Pictured with Razer's Lachesis Mouse, Lycosa KB and iZ3D 22" LCD.

Note to self, move the system somewhere else for better pics.
