It's here

Won't let me change it tho. Not sure why? Monitor isn't a TN I think its a A-MVA panel if I remember correctly.
Weird, it doesn't even show that option in mine, and I'm using a BenQ TN.

Yes I clean installed, uninstalled with DDU in safe mode.

TN only feature once I read it again.

I'd just give you my tab if it was possible as it's not supported on my monitor anyways

After years of waiting I thought this update would FINALLY allow for Portrait-Landscape-Portrait Eyefinity. Mixed resolution support does not include support for rotated displays unfortunately.

Looks like I have more waiting ahead of me.

Guys, I be interested to know if any 290 owners here are not having any problems with black screen (hard lock) running any 14x beta drivers.

I have a 290 coming Thursday and been researching drivers and guys who have the black screen problem today which have me a bit concerned. I am not sure how big or small this problem is so thought I ask. So when the card arrives I am going to start off with the 13.12 WHQL drivers for the next 2-3 weeks to see how they run and per black screen before I try any 14x beta drivers.

I have read posts on the net some guys (who had the problem) saying going back to 13.12's which stopped the black screen problem for them. I am only talking/concerned about the hard lock black screen per booting up, gaming, browsing, etc at times, not the problem coming out of sleep black screen which some have and is different.

Also per above from research IF needed (below) with 13.12 WHQL
Disable AMD HD audio.
Set PL to 20%
Core Voltage +50 mv
Disable monitor idle/sleep

No black screen here, this is my second 290 and I've had it for about a month and a half. On the latest driver. My older 290 didn't have that specific issue either, on 14.1

Can't install on windows 8.0. Just as expected.

Unfortunately, can't upgrade to Windows 8.1.

Well played, Microsoft, <3

from the AMD link

"- Starting with AMD Catalyst 14.6 Beta, AMD will no longer support Windows 8.0 (and the WDDM 1.2 driver)
- AMD Catalyst 14.4 will remain available for users who wish to remain on Windows 8
- A future AMD Catalyst release will allow for the WDDM 1.1 (Windows 7 driver) to be installed under Windows 8.0 for those users unable to upgrade to Windows 8.1"

for now you just have to keep 14.4, but the future windows 7 drivers will work on 8.0, so no big deal I guess,

I have so far encountered an unresponsive black screen once after exiting from a lengthy session of Watch Dogs, on a CF290x setup. Then again, I've been running the drivers for just over 24 hours by now, so it's hard to tell if it's a recurring problem and if it's tied to the drivers.

Edit: Okay, you're asking about all 14.x drivers. Just that one black screen between 14.2, 14.4 and 14.6beta.

If they implemented PLP Eyefinity I would buy a 290X the minute they announced it.

Installed this morning and played about about 2 hours BF4 no issues on my end with 14.6.

Running 8.1 on a MSI 290.

What about flip portrait to portrait? When I thought I can finally concealed those ugly bezels.

After the crossfire patch for thief. I get super smooth performance. Much smoother than even BF4.

This is at 4K with everything maxed with no AA. i get 70FPS average and 57min.

Forum rules do not allow to discuss the reasons.
Dang, I thought you had run into the 8.1 update app not appearing bug. Affects 1 in 8 PC's I've worked on and out of those every other refuses to see it with the requisite updates installed, usually domain computers with WSUS issues.

I had one little hiccup with mine. Used add and remove to delete drivers and rebooted. On reboot the desktop looked as if the drivers were still installed....As if still in 1080p. Looked in add and remove again and there was a CCC2 listed? I removed CCC2 and deleted the AMD folder in my c drive along with a AMD folder in my programs. Rebooted, used the AMD driver cleaner app and rebooted.

Installed the drivers without any issue. Tested a quick Dirt3 benchmark to see if any issues.

Only thing I see compared to your image is my AMD sound driver is a different version. Guru3d drivers is what I used. I found the 14.6 on AMD site but it kept giving the page not found.

My Audio driver looks to be different than your image. Newer version?

That's someone else's CCC.
Mine was without Audio due to busted install.

OK lets compare NOW

Whoa, I played Planetside 2 for a while yesterday with 14.6, I noticed something different- with the game graphics settings set to max (including 1.2x resolutionquality) I was getting input lag effect and I don't have vsync turned on, I was getting a steady 90-110fps in most areas but when I move the mouse left-right the response was at least half a second behind. It grew so extremely annoying that I quit the game after an hour, uninstalled 14.6 and reinstalled 14.4 WHQL and started the game back up, zero molasses movement.
