Hello everyone,

Highlights:
Crossfire Profiles updates for:
· The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

(In addition to this graphics driver, there are additional manual steps AMD Radeon™ customers can take to further improve the performance of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Click here to learn more).

Performance Improvements for the following:
· The Witcher 3 - Wild Hunt: Up to 10% performance increase on single GPU Radeon R9 and R7 Series graphics products.
· Project Cars - Up to 17% performance increase on single GPU Radeon R9 and R7 Series graphics products.

Known Issues:
· The Witcher 3 - Wild Hunt: To enable the best performance and experience in Crossfire, users must disable Anti-Aliasing from the games video-post processing options. Some random flickering may occur when using Crossfire. If the issue is affecting the game experience, as a work around we suggest disabling Crossfire while we continue to work with CD Projekt Red to resolve this issue.

· Project CARS: Corruption may be observed if Anti-Aliasing is set to DS2M when run in Crossfire mode. As a workaround we suggest using a different Anti-Aliasing method.

Please refer to the Release Notes for more information.

Sam, thanks for the info, but, any word on when WHQL drivers will be released?
There are still programs that need WHQL drivers because of the DRM bits turned on, and it is a PITA to switch back and forth between beta & the very, very old WHQL.

So will this driver not help those of us with old GCN GPUs, like 7950/7970's?

This releases seems to be mainly for those two games, nothing else is mentioned.

I guess they are busy with the 390x drivers...

This update appears to have fixed crashes I was getting in FFXIV. That's good news.

If you're a Crossfire user, people, DO NOT waste your time with this driver. Having to turn off AA produces a disgusting picture, and random flickering over icons EVERYWHERE make this just pointless. Thanks, AMD. Why bother releasing a driver that has a Crossfire profile, that you just have to workaround by disabling Crossfire? Absolute joke.

For some reason I feel like my performance has tanked in Witcher 3 with these drivers. I did move to a new area so maybe that's it.

Don't blame it on AMD, they got the game same time that reviewers did. They did say it was a temp work around. And icons in the game should not flicker just because AA is off. I have played Witcher 3 a lot with no AA. Could be something else that causes it, but its not the AA.

The flickering comes from having Crossfire enabled. I'm not blaming AMD for anything, of course I know they got the game at the same time we all did, I'm saying why bother releasing a driver that enables Crossfire (with flickering), only to say disable Crossfire if you don't like the flickering.

I'll wait to enable a later release in my R9 290 CF below in light of chimaxi83's comments. Question, I'm also running the game on a 3770k rig with a single Sapphire Tri-X 290 but I'm using Win 10 preview. This driver update is not intended for Win 10, correct?

BTW, why even release a CF profile if you have to make so many radical changes to gameplay? Why not wait until you have it corrected?

Tested the game in my brother computer and radeonpro SMAA is better that game AA.

Disable AA and Sharpness in the menu and use SMAA on Radeonpro.

That would be a great option, if AMD didn't enable Crossfire with a side of icon flickering that you have to disable Crossfire to get rid of.

Some of the top features of RadeonPro should be priorities for AMD to add to Catalyst. Such a shame the developer stopped working on it to work at Raptr

I agree noxious. I'm tired of users having to add in driver features that we clearly want as a community. Amd could literally let these people collaborate with their driver teams for free and I bet they'd do it to get these features in main drivers.
