I think NV is focusing in other areas. Cancer research, resource exploration, aerospace, etc. Crunching bitcoins prolly not high on da list.
What a bunch of bull.I make more then 95 $ in 5 days mining 15 hrs a day on 3 7950s lols.
What a bunch of bull.
You make $202 running those 3x7950 24 hours a day in a whole month. A week ago you would have made $110 with those 3 GPUs.
You look insanely board because you can't use your PC.
So thats why this article is USELESS. AMD do beat Nvidia GPUs with mining, but to call it "destroying" is BS at best, because what would you call 60GHz ASIC vs 1.8GHz 7970s that use the same power?
Correct on all points.Good point and then when you want to game you can fire up the ASIC and... oh wait, an ASIC is only good for one thing whereas I can game on my Radeon and still make a decent profit each month.
Of course an ASIC destroys GPUs at mining but that's it's sole purpose and is good for nothing else. That's the point of the article, you can mine while your GPU is idle. Currently it's only worthwhile if you have AMD cards (or possibly a Titan). Even if GPU mining becomes unprofitable you can always sell your excess hardware and you wouldn't be out much if anything.
You have no idea what your talking about.. i know i sell 1/10th a bit coin everyday for 18$ + now add..
Why you gotta fill the thread with crap when u have no clue what i make?
And last week i made over 900$ selling what i had saved up .... lol mmm http://www.ebay.com/itm/190822765375?ssPageName=STRK:MESOX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1561.l2649
All in the meantime i do this

And the lies continue. You are really full of yourself.
First of all, that was 0.1 Bitcoin sold. Not 100s of them. In a month you mine 1.7 Bitcoins with 3x7950. Second of all, most of the 0.1 Bitcoins goes for $15 at Ebay. That nets you $255 for a whole month. Deduct $50 for the electricity and you are STILL in the profit of around $200. With 3 GPUs.
So stop spreading lies.
Oh wait, if you game with GPUs you reduce your profit. Say you play with your computer 4 hours a day, that removes 120 hours from the mining. Which is 5 days. That means you net $180 per month on mining. It will take you 6 months before breaking even with the GPUs. Not counting in the difficulty. So lets say 8 months before breaking even. Wow, you`re rich. Not.
Anyone who is in Bitcoins to make money owns or have pre ordered a FPGA/ASIC. The rest is just wasting their time with these inefficient GPUs.
You don't bitcoin, you don't own an AMD graphics card obviously and from the sounds of it you never will. So how do you know he is lying? Your estimated facts? lol
Your basically calling everyone a liar now.
Cloudfire, how much of an angry poster would you be if Nvidia cards were the better cards for mining? I won't hold my breath for the obvious answer.
I don't care what any of these sources say. I continue to make money mining, sorry that makes you so butthurt. I'm making money right now.I don`t understand why my preference for Nvidia cards is questioned. Go read Bitcoin from Reddit or any other forum. They say the same as I do.

LOL how pathetic.

I'm slightly confused, you keep linking to your ebay but I only see 4 bitcoin transitions for less than $120 total before ebay fees.
What am I not seeing?
