Hey guys, I've got some strange issues and really need some help.
Specs
Asus Maximus v Gene
i7 3570k
16gb RAM
850 Evo 1TB
HD7970
1. I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10. All went swell, installed Crimson, things appeared to be fine.
2a. A few minutes while seeing lots of internet activity, I figure Windows 10 is updating something.
2b. Screen freezes with image still on screen, so I restart computer.
3. Black screen just before Windows Login
4. Boot to safe mode, use DDU to uninstall Crimson, reboot
5. Boot now HANGS on Windows logo + spinning dots
6. Boot to safe mode, DISABLE integrated graphics
7. Everything works.
8. Try to install Crimson drivers, at Analyzing System --> return to step 2b
--
Each time I try to install Crimson drivers, the screen freezes with the image still on it at Analyzing system, and I have to reboot into safe mode, disable the integrated graphics all over again, and then reboot.
Does anybody know what is going on?
I'm about to try again after uninstalling the integrated graphics drivers AND disabling, so we'll see how it goes. Will also try Catalyst.
