I think NV may indeed answer if the real world benchmarks indicate a need for NV to step up.

It wouldn't surprise me to find that NV has something up their sleeve.

I definitely want to see benchmarks, and in particular, OC vs OC benchmarks. At stock, these may be equal to the 980ti, but when both are OC'ed, which will be faster?

Yeah, I really want to see some benchmarks before I make a decision. When are they coming out?

If the FuryX OC performance is within 5%(+/-) of the 980Ti OC performance, I'll probably get the FuryX just to so I can say I have HBM in my PC. Depending upon how close the Fury OC is to the Fury X OC, I may pocket $200 instead (since I'm buying two of them).

I'm in for day 1 Fury X. I won't support Nvidia due to their proprietary feature set. AMD's releases were largely inline with the leaks. The Nano was a nice little surprise. Nvidia's response will be to lower prices on everything out there. Black editions or some higher clocked version will come later to regain some performance crowns. In doing so their perf/watt goes out the window. There just isn't a lot of wiggle room on the same node. They will also produce marketing for some metric that no one cared about before. AMD's response is the Dual Fury card, which will obliterate everything. Unless Nvidia also has a dual card.... AMD wins this round. HBM2 (needed for Pascal) is Q2 absolute earliest. It's looking like Q4. That means Nvida has had 9 months of free reign on the market. End of June to Q2 2016 is 9 months. If HBM2 get out in Q2 equal time to both companies for owning the current market. If not AMD gets 2 quarters more than Nvidia to soak sales. AMD > Nvidia in business strategy.

I am getting Fury X in a few months for sure, as long as the leaked benchmarks are true (very close to 980ti or better).

I'm going to enjoy my Titan X SLI until Pascal drops with 32 GB of HBM and 100% faster. If we're lucky, the SLI bridge should be gone by Pascal.

Would have been day 1 full Tonga for me, but that Nano also looks damn interesting. My system's not ready for an uber GPU and I'd be hesitant to buy a flagship chip on an outgoing node anyway.

Looks like I'm waiting another few months for the hype train to move on (and for them to have cleared some stock)...

And, don't forget, 5x the cost.

When Pascal finally does arrive, we can expect Fury 2.0, and on and on it goes.

When it comes to HBM most certainly, and I'm impressed that AMD will have at least 3 HBM products out.

It's taking Nvidia forever to drop the SLI bridge they are really lagging here not sure what they are waiting for.

I will if it wipes the floor with the 295X2. Only way. And maybe depending what D3D12 does for my card. If it turns it into a monster I might wait till Pascal or AMD next Fury.

Waiting on reviews. I'll end up getting one or a non-reference 980ti depending on performance at 1440.

To me it seems Nvidia doesn't need to do anything. I imagine that dual GPU Fury will require a fair bit of juice and cooling to run and even then you still have to deal with Crossfire profiles coming anything from weeks to months late for new games (as seen with AMD's driver updates this and last year). Most people won't give a damn if one company produces the fastest GPU or not, for most it's the one step down that is the most interesting as the entry price is usually a lot lower. Likewise the majority of people don't care what kind of memory is in it.

I'm all for competition on the market but to me it seems both companies will just dig into their trenches until they can release a proper upgrade.

Waiting for reviews. Choice is between the water cooled Fury or the EVGA Hybrid 980ti. Either way, I am intrigued with the AIO liquid cooling setups. I would also be interested in a hypothetical 980 Ultra.

I'm likely down for Fury X. If they bundle SW Battlefront as rumored, then it will be a lock for me, as that works out to a healthy discount.

Being able to pass on my 7990 will be a nice thing, too.

Clearly this is a misunderstanding, of course Nvidia won't answer tomorrow, I am talking a month or two... By fall?

The card is not launched yet, what did you expect?

It's just nice to know what the reactions are now that we have much more information. Indeed no reviews or launch (altought thursday there will be).

Right now I know almost nothing, in particular how it compares with a 980ti.

Speed? Heat? Noise? Power draw? Ease of setup and reliability of the water cooling?

I have no idea. Why the puffin would I answer "yes" to buying a card when I have no idea how good it is?

I'm interested, but it's way to soon to answer the question.

Pretty bizarre how many are saying yes without seeing a review. Especially from a company has a rich history of over promising and then not delivering at launch everything they've promised. At least this time around AMD isn't touting any software features which inevitably won't make it into the release day drivers. How often do you see NVidia announce a date, just to announce a product without any reviews? What on earth? Obviously even after all this time, something still isn't ready for these cards, or they would have been released to the public today with reviews.

I used Ati/AMD cards exclusively for over a decade. Not any more. You've burned me enough. Until they can demonstrate an ability to deliver what they promise and release stable drivers on a consistent/frequent basis, I am steering clear of AMD.

Im not sure why they didn't really have any sort of performance slides. Either they are keeping it a big secret or it just doesn't perform enough.

Reviews cant come soon enough!
