You know, you nv douche bags are f###ing pathetic you know that? Let's see nv's game bundle plan so we can all have a go at that. You start by posting it.

.
...

Somehow I missed this great reply. AHAHAHA

Looks like AMD has indeed grabbed most of incoming PC titles.
Even more puzzling, it looks like Nvidia does not even care.
Something like: "You go ahead AMD; have that AAA game for $4M, we'll just release the best driver/profile that we can, and we will ride your own train just the same."

Which still doesn't answer why Nvidia won't invest few bucks more. Yeah they're doing HAWKEN, some F2PLAY MMORPG, but still it looks like they're holding back.
Perhaps they don't want to disturb OPEX till Tegra fully grows up?

AMD, I'd say they are over-stretching if only a bit, because NEVER SETTLE certainly didn't improve their financial, and aside from Tomb Rider, NVIDIA seems to be keeping driver/game-profile pace much more gracefully than AMD, even with all these Evolved titles.

Still, AMD needs to do _something, and NEVER SETTLE is just great for consumers.
Not to mention much-much better spent money than most, if not all of AMD marketing attempts so far.
They are finally making widely recognized name for themselves in PC gaming!

It might just be that AAA are catching on that AMD is willing to pay for these bundles.

I wonder if the AAAs aren't getting smart enough to price gouge... if nothing else, it might just be that Nvidia is refusing to pay the asking price for the bundle.

One big game per card, I think has always been a reasonable bundle. Giving away 2+ AAA games per card, you really have to wonder where that money's coming from.

I tend to forget I'm a consumer reading some of the posts around here.

The funny thing is around here, whenever Nvidia isnt the best at something, its always because "they thought it wasnt profitable" or "they dont care about that market" etc

PS4/Xbox720, Bitcoin mining, bundles, you name it

So predictable

Or it's AMD's fault

I knew this thread would be derailed by Nvidia's fanatical zealots.D:.

Heck, I don't really care which company I have, as long as it provides me what I want.

But you can't not wonder why Nvidia hasn't been acting. Nvidia has far more capital than AMD does. Game companies would love more money, and Nvidia has more of it to spend than AMD. You can't honestly believe these studios are giving all of their games to AMD out of the goodness of their hearts.

As a consumer, I don't care. It means I get my games for cheap when ebay gets saturated. But as an ethusiast, I would like to know what AMD and NV are doing.

NV doesn't need to respond. You're getting caught up in the pom-pom waiving. NV can drop a duce in a box and it will still outsell AMD. They have the fans/marketshare to charge $1,000 for the "real" GTX x80 and people seem to open up their wallets freely.

Whatever NV is doing, AMD would love to be doing, regardless as a consumer - these bundles are awesome because I can get me some cheap Steam keys from people who buy AMD cards just for bitmining

Exactly. I even made a thread about it

I'm dreading the fact that I'm going to have to try to move another Crysis 3/Bio/Far Cry bundle with my second 7950 that I picked up last night, hopefully I can time my next two 7950 purchases to pick up some new games.

Game bundles are great, but I'd still rather have a discount instead.

More 7950s??? What about your carbon footprint? :whiste:

Holy cow. Every time I see one of these threads detailing AMD's next game bundles, I'm always impressed. Those are some really big titles. GRID 2, Company of Heroes 2, Battlefield 4, Watch Dogs? Maybe I missed something; I still don't quite understand how they manage to pick up so many games.

GRID 2 is probably the one I'm most looking forward to, I've already got it pre-ordered though.

Dude, have you seen AMD's stock price lately? These games OBVIOUSLY can't be good, I mean how can AMD sponsor a good game unless they have at least 12 billion in net profit. I hope you can see the correlation.

To expand on what railven said: Nvidia doesn't really need to do anything. They have a very strong fan base, and will continue to have a strong fan base for a while. People buy their stuff based purely off of brand recognition. Most companies probably wish they had customer loyalty like Apple or Nvidia.

Looks pretty awesome to me. I'm not necessarily planning on buying a graphics card until I can see a good upgrade to my 680 (that includes video RAM, so it might not be that hard given I've only got 2GB), but I have no qualms with buying coupons off eBay.

Well, the obvious answer is that nVidia is spending their marketing monies elsewhere. It might not be visible, but they are still spending it.

This ^^ right on cue as usual ggrrr:twisted:

Check out the bundle that comes with the new HD7990...Le Wow!

AMD will be bundling the 7990 with 8 different games from the current and past Never Settle bundles. All of AMD’s current bundle titles are included: Crysis 3, Bioshock Infinite, Tomb Raider, and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. Along with that AMD is also packing in the best games out of their previous bundles: Far Cry 3, Hitman: Absolution, Sleeping Dogs, and Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Simply put, 7990 buyers will be well-stocked for games to play on their new video card.

Great for the consumer and great for Amd's brand recognition. Unfortunately, Oems will ultimately decide profit margins for either company, and they have little to no use for the game bundle.

AMD isn't hoping the game will bring them profits at all. They're counting on having their AMD :GE logo on the splash screen and the box. The game bundles are just an added cost to make the deal happen.

I'm in for CoH 2, prolly one of the most eagerly anticipated titles this year. Rome 2 should be great fun too, i really enjoyed Shogun 2. BF4 will have to wait and see, im sick of the browser plugin bullsh@t that was in bf3. Still, PC gaming is looking great.

Funny how childhood examples outperforming part of being something more mature.

1) TressFX - used in one financial unprofitable game.

2) Hey NV, how about throwing us a bone... or something... anything?

3) OK this pretty much seals any further TXAA/FXAA development, as now they've lost Timothy Lottes to Epic.

So? Nvidia is long-established Epic partner.

Noob. You can sell rotten Macdonald with 100 free toys but nobody is going to buy it and especially eat it.

You better blame AMD lunatics. If AMD's GPUs are so cheap why they don't help their beloved company? :|

If you can buy HD 7990 you can buy those games separately.

Pretty sure they made money on it over all platforms. I for one welcome more realistic hair after decades of plastic hair. I don't know any consumer who would disagree. If you don't like it, or feel it's not realistic enough, then turn it off or wait for newer attempts at realistic hair down the road.. TressFX 2.0?
