So any information on the release of these things? I know I read late March somewhere but we are now past that so I would guess in the next couple of weeks? What about the 890fx chipset?

It was just about a bios update that I was told is coming out for the AMD 6 core for a certain MB make that I received by e-mail from the MB company. But its not officially out and they asked for me not to post it on Anandtech (after I posted it) until they officially have it out on their website. So out of respect per their request I removed it.

I think 'the date' was always around April 27th but some folks are 'guessing' it may be bumped up a week or so.

I'm wondering if the 'Turbo' will cause single threads to 'core hop'? Maybe that's why they have a 1-2-4 Turbo?

Does anyone know if even one of these will be unlocked? Seems like there will be a 1090T BE, but a few places said it'll be locked for some weird reason.

I've never overclocked on the AM2/3 or DDR3 platform before so I'm a little confused. Lets say I can't use RAM faster than 1333 because I require ECC modules, does this mean my only option to overclock is using an unlocked multiplier?

You'll have dividers to choose from that should make it pretty easy for you to run your memory at 1333 no matter what change's are made to clock speed/fsb. We wont know if any of these are unlocked until the reviews hit.

I hope we get more dividers than I have on my Propus. 1:2, 1:2.66, 1:3.33, and 1:4, with 1:2 insta-crashing the system whenever I try to use it. Blah!

From the looks of it, nothing has changed on the memory controller. I was hoping it'd be a DDR3 only part which would mean less die space and possibly better temps/overclocking by removing the DDR2 controller.

Alas, it's an incredibly selfish thing to wish as there are quite a few DDR2 users out there.

Turbo will be three cores only though, so that image may not be right.

Yeah, figures. They're not going to release an entirely new IMC revision just so I can get mah l33t memory clocks on.

If it's as good as the C3 Deneb IMC, then DDR3-1866 will be possible. That'll do.
