Now now, let's not go to ridiculous territory with the Intel Bashing. What about Ivy Bridge?
I'm all for rooting for AMD. But constantly bashing and ridiculing Intel makes me think along the same lines as AdoredTV.
What does those l2 numbers mean? And where do they come from?. Evidently its reflected in real world usage. Its real.
I would like to see first gen Ryzen on some x470 motherboard reviews and if first gen cpu's can be overclocked any farther on x470 vs x370.I really want to see reviews on X370 boards, not just X470. It would help knowing what kind of improvements were made for the chipset, not just the processor. I'm assuming very little since most of the architecture for the IO is in the CPU.
Yea two comparable motherboards of high VRM quality.. preferably from same top end brand with stable BIOS.I would like to see first gen Ryzen on some x470 motherboard reviews and if first gen cpu's can be overclocked any farther on x470 vs x370.
Well let's just wait until someone locks 2600X and 8700K at the same clock and runs a bunch of benches.
We were kinda talking about per clock performance, no?And what would be the point of this? Comparing CPUs with a price difference > $100 doesn't make a whole lot sense to begin with.
I'd like to see 1800X on x470 Taichi and 2700X on x370 Taichi in addition to normal testing.Yea two comparable motherboards of high VRM quality.. preferably from same top end brand with stable BIOS.
Sounds good to me.I'd like to see 1800X on x470 Taichi and 2700X on x370 Taichi in addition to normal testing.
I believe the embargo lifts at 9am tomorrow. I'll probably skip this generation (already have 1800X and 1600X). 2nd gen Threadripper might be a different story, especially if they're just as aggressive on pricing.Looking forward to seeing some official reviews. Guess we don't have to wait much longer now.

was that newegg or Amazon ? mine has not shipped yet, and I ordered within hours of when it was possible. My 2700x shipped just now! Guess I don't get to quickly look at reviews at 9am and decide if I want to cancel.

Well, actually it was you that was trying to limit the discussion to per clock performance, which negates any intel gains since Skylake, because they have been due to clockspeed, not ipc.We were kinda talking about per clock performance, no?
Yes.
Intel needs no sympathy. Thanks to AMD, Intel will now have to make real advancements in CPU technology. AMD has always been the price leader. Meaning they undercut Intel for the ordinary man. For those who know the computer industry, companies like Dell and HP probably pay $100Well, actually it was you that was trying to limit the discussion to per clock performance, which negates any intel gains since Skylake, because they have been due to clockspeed, not ipc.
It should be 9am eastern time. E.g. when this clock reaches 9am. So in about 5:30 hours. When does the embargo lift? 9am something? In which timezone? (I'm in Norway)
