Does anyone knows if the Ryzen 7 2700X comes with the Wraith Prism or not? (I can't tell from the box.)
I know that userbenchmark is not a reliable benchmark and I would probably get laughed out of the room, but userbenchmark indicates

Great,
"It's probably wise to hold off purchasing until the eagerly anticipated 16-core, 32-thread Ryzen Threadripper CPUs are launched later this month."

According to the Amazon preorder link below or above depending on how you look at it the description says that it does include the wraith prism cooler.
I was being sarcastic.
It's like Poe's law, there is no real way to tell if your were being sarcastic or literal.
It looked like you were being literal to me.
Not sure what cooler it comes with, it it does at all.Does anyone knows if the Ryzen 7 2700X comes with the Wraith Prism or not? (I can't tell from the box.)

I would have thought the image of the cooler on the box may have been a giveaway of his sarcasm
So sounds like ASRock is replacing X370 Fatality Gaming Professional with X470 Taichi Ultimate. Wonder if they're dropping Fatality branding?
But X470 Fatality Professional Gaming makes no sense with X470 Taichi Ultimate. In X370 lineup, the X370 Fatality Professional Gaming was basically X370 Taichi + second LAN port + onboard power/reset buttons. This is what X470 Taichi Ultimate is - it's X470 Taichi + second LAN port and power/reset buttons. I don't think there is any room above X470 Taichi Ultimate for another motherboard. No, apparently the Fatal1ty Gaming Professional will still be released: https://videocardz.net/mobo/asrock-x470-falal1ty-professional-gaming/
But no more infos have been leaked so far. Also the ITX board is still Fatal1ty branded: https://videocardz.net/mobo/asrock-x470-falal1ty-gaming-itx-ac/
I wish they would release a Fatal1ty Gaming Professonal ITX with 10GbE though.

Personally I like having second lan port on my motherboards for virtual machines. Serious homelab users running vmware vsphere will buy server grade hardware with dedicated 4 port intel nic. They wouldn't buy consumer board anyway. But for power users like me running vmware workstation or hyper-v it's useful to have second nic dedicated to guest OS'es. One nic for host OS and one nic for guest OS, it's the proper way.Didn't the Professional have a 5Gbe or 10 Gbe port. I guess to use the system as a cheap home server solution. Is that what the second port on the Taichi is for. I will say a Taichi Ultimate kind of defeats the point of the Taichi brand doesn't. Wasn't it supposed to be the brand for all the cool features but less fluff to price it below competitors high end boards? Maybe the Taichi did so well on the X370 the wanted to expand the name, but it will detract away from the stated goal of the brand.

Ultimately it's just names. I don't think second nic defeats the purpose of Taichi, it's just another Taichi trim (Ultimate) that has features that some need.

x470 BioStar Boards are up for a look-see..

I dont really care for Biostar either but its interesting to see other motherboards then just the norm. In all honesty I am waiting for either the Gigabyte Gaming 7,Asrock Fatality,Asrock Taichi, or Asus Tuff. Depending on which has the most I/O ports that I am needing will be the winner and my new purchase.1. "Racing" just doesnt feel right.
2. Same as 300 series.
3. Poor look. Make it cool
4. Quality VRM
I was going to only get the r7 2700 non "X" but the "X" variant is only $29.00 buck more as long as newegg doesn't get all price gougey.. So I may just follow in your foot steps there Mark..Well, I just gave my 1700x to my son as a work computer (does drafting work), so now I am free to get a 2700x if I want ! Of course on a Tachi !
