Whatever chipset you have, TRIM should be supported if its a normal SATA/IDE port running in IDE or AHCI mode.
The only crucial thing is that you need to run a DRIVER that supports TRIM, currently only the Microsoft IDE/AHCI and the Intel AHCI driver support TRIM; no other drivers do on Windows, to my knowledge, including the AMD chipset driver.
So do not install the AMD chipset driver, but instead use the Microsoft driver that come with your OS. To see what driver you are using, download AS SSD and look in the text that says "iastor" for intel driver and "msahci" or "pciide" for Microsoft driver.
You would want to run in AHCI mode, since this provides a boost to your SSD's random read performance.
