Btw this is default let app decide, for AF quality:

Not to be confused with this:

and on program settings too.If you put different setting on program setting(Example BF4 app) than it will overrule all settings and only use that program setting.

For the BF4 pics, what FOV is being used so i can take some pics of my own to compare ???

I don't think this is an amd v nv issue per se, so it's better not to cloud the issue.

The questions are:
1. Is nv disabling af by default in the ncp because of a bug or otherwise?
2. Are the recent 980ti or tx scores inflated due to this?
3. If true, why did no professional see this behavior -yet they can see sub second stutter in multi gpu configs and high freq sounds from gpu cooling solutions.

Did see the results on previous pages? 3 or 4 people posted their results so better check that before posting.

I just want to compare the Image Quality of my HD7950 vs the other GPUs. But if the FOV is not the same as the images posted earlier then the comparison is not valid.

Just to be clear, the second one is what the op used to fix his issue

; on my gtx670 all that time i thought the global (& game specific profiles) detailed settings override that main setting.. !! it's been awhile since I've used nvidia. apologies if i'm mistaken.

He may have changed both, I'm not sure, he did talk about a high quality setting. But in his video, the option in the preview pane is what he lists as the setting he changed.

My greatest takeaway from this is that I'm shocked he even uses that general control panel setting. I always skip past that and use the advanced settings, as I would expect most PC gamers to do. The general slider is like an idiot button/idiot light.

Also, to everyone saying that AF added a 10% performance deficit, moving that slider over all the way affects a lot more than AF. To really iron out what setting is causing his issue he would have to change individual settings under the advanced set to find which one is causing his issue. And note, that's his issue. I've never noticed anything like what he's seeing on my cards, though I usually have my NCP set to use the advanced settings (so I can specify some specific global settings).

Thank you but it is clear that their is not problem with GTX 9xx series while we do not know about Titan X because no screenshot has been posted yet in this forum to clarify.

Thread reopened, with a warning to everyone to keep the tempers under control and to debate the subject matter here constructively without inflaming confrontation. I'm looking directly at you, maddie.

so the real problem is left with Titan X hmm interesting.

FOV definitely solves the object issue, that's a variable which can be adjusted by the game engine. I'm not saying that it solves the AF issue, that could easily be specific to driver versions given that it's a variable which can be changed at the driver level.

Incidentally, I can only reproduce Gregster's "defaults" by forcing AF to 0x in the control panel.

Sigh.

Either we are using entirely different points of comparison, or these look nothing like his 'defaults'. AF is clearly lacking at a glance, no need to see anything else to notice a problem with those settings.

Can you please provide your point of comparison specifically with regards to his defaults?

Edit*, found it, does look like 0 AF

Reminds me of whole 3.5gb episode where people were jumping on throats of owners of nvidia cards, calling them biased and whatever, when they suggested that there may be a problem.

Well, i'm open to believe either side with more proof. This is interesting, as i was about to order parts for a pc, but now i think i will wait a bit more till it clears out (pun is intended) a bit.

I disagree. It appears pretty clear that any problem can be isolated to a single user. The evidence suggests that that users settings are 0AF in the proof he is submitting.

There has been ample evidence of nvidia users in this very thread illustrating that they are not experiencing the same results as the person who initiated this kerfuffle. To be quite frank - were I one of those nvidia users in this thread, and if I saw some of the "trust the source" posts that are flying around in here, I'd be pretty offended.

Edit

Seriously - has anyone else been able to replicate the original findings without forcing 0AF? Anyone at all?

Because if so, I have yet to see it.
