I got my gift card last week. It's kind of lame - it's not a $50 Amex debit card, it's a card with 50 "points" each worth $1 at participating retailers, most of which don't allow you to use two forms of payment. So if you want to buy something that's $49.99, you can't because after tax and s&h you're sol. heh.

At least I can take it to Borders and get a couple DVDs or something.

What did you people put on the "Prize" and "Retail Value" line? Nothing I assume? As they don't tell you what you've won, I guess that line is there for them to fill in?

Checked the winners' list today, looks like I got the 2nd Prize. Not bad at all, but I will probably end up selling it as I can't afford to do anything with it right now.

check this out! I was notified by AMD Ultimate Team that I won 1st prize in the AMD Ultimate giveaway. Here is there original email quote:

Well, they listed me as a 2nd prize winner on winner list... so I send the following email:

Dear AMD Ultimate Team,

"I checked the on-line winners list today and noticed my name ( AlaX
XXXXX) listed in the 2nd prize catagory. Was this a mistake. From
your previous email (below) I was informed that I won 1st prize.

please advise"

And here is AMD Ultimate Teams reply:

So I received the motherboard on Tuesday, any idea's on what I should, I think they should stick with what they stated in there first email and send me a XP 2100+ processor.
