I'll say it, Nvidia is far worse than AMD when it comes to shady business.

And considering that Samsung helped them... definately Polaris 10 will have a good ammount of stock.

Waiting for Polaris 11. Those cards will be welcomed.

Well Samsung isn't involved in the stocking/production of AMD products to my knowledge at all. GloFo is the single source provider of Baffin, Ellesmere, and Zen. Yes, the technology node is the same, but it's all GF/AMD IP and manufacturing. The SEC/GF partnership is another product

So what is going on? The new leaks showing RX480 faster than expected or what? Does the comparison performance-wise to Radeon 390 still stand?

BTW if it does, its sadly not as awesome as its made to look in regard to its apparent low price. The cheapest 390 over here (from Sapphire) is 315 EUROs. Granted there is Asus Strix for 509 too :-O Anyway, if it performs similarly, and the MSRP for 8GB version is 229 USD, i can see it being over here in Europe easily priced at 300 EUROs. At least, in light of recent pricing of Nvidia cards, when MSRP of 599 USD translates to cca 800 EUROs for GTX1080 and 379 to 500 for GTX1070.

In the latest video from the Guy, we see that GPU scores 3515 its in FS Ultra. That brings it to Fury levels of performance. For 229$ if it is 8 GB version.

What is mind boggling, the GPU can score this while working with 1080 MHz, not 1266, or whatever the end core clock will be.

Seems fishy for it to be running at 1080 MHz if the temp is already up to 90 degrees.

I can buy that Polaris 10 could be around Fury levels as AMD showed it doing so at their March event when they ran a brief demo of Hitman.

With latest BIOS and drivers it problably runs at 1266Mhz with FURY performance
GTX1070 is 19% faster vs this card

Thanks! That sounds better. Fury seesms to go for cca 540 EUROs over here, so having that kind of performance at assumed 300 EUROs sounds more like what i would expect from new generation.

I hope this is true. Could pressure Nvidia to drop their prices. Just read about the whole GTX280/Radeon 4800 series situation and we could really use something similar to happen again.

91 degrees, because the guy changed the cooler from the GPU for MSI Lightning.

I have to say these benchmarks seem all fake. With bios editing you can achieve pretty much anything:
- Frequency showed in Crimson is only the max stated in the bios, but not the real one.
- 90ºC with a 290x lighting cooler in a 14nm gpu of a TDP lower than 150W is really a joke.
- 8pin+6pin in a < 150W gpu? Why put 225W supply for only 30-50W? R9 380x can keep up with 30% OC with only 2 6pin...
- In the photo leaked, the pcb is extra large, as nearly matches lighting length. Also, if you search for r9 290 pcb you will see a lot of similarities. Same distribution of 8pin and 6pin connectors, a capacitor next to them, even the saw marks on th edge of the pcb are the same...

It's obviously a fake or he wouldn't have needed to photoshop the first digit of the firemark score. It doesn't matter he posted a video, he has no credibility.

It doesn't matter that there is a video? Because you say so?

Is it possible for R9 290 Lightining to get 1000 pts. more than on stock clocks in 3dMark Firestrike Ultra and get to Fury levels?

I don't think all these are fake, but the guy doing firestrike is definitely fake. He posts youtube videos with his face (reflection in monitor) but removes the GPU shroud because of NDA? please..

Yeah fake thats why AMD searching for him

GTX1070 also have 8+6pin and its 150w TDP card
Why rx 480 cant have 8+6pin?

I know its hard believe that 200USD card will just wipe the floor with GTX1070 in price/perf and even after oc match it.

I am not buying that guy's leaks. And it's not because I don't think rx480 is a killer card, because by all accounts it looks amazing.

Seems too good to be true. AMD isn't going to sell a card for ~$230 that's only 20% off of a 1070, especially when that would make a full die Polaris 10 around equal performance for ~$100 less at the moment.

You can argue about AMD wanting to grow the VR market and all kinds of other stuff, but they're still a business and at that performance level it's leaving too much money on the table.

Sane people might question why they didn't demo this Geforce GTX 1070 killer as a single GPU in their presentation, had to throw Crossfire and their favourite game instead.

Will you also quote price gouging from retailers like you did to Pascal or AMD's MSRP will be chosen instead, even if zero cards are available for this price at launch?

It doesn't matter because he has no credibility. No one is taking away your right to believe in fairies. Go on and ignore me.

Well it is like saying: I will not believe that that comet is gonna destroy my planet even if it is in front of my eyes. It has no credibility, because it could destroy jupiter, sun or any other bigger planet, than mine.

Dafaq? He may have no credibility for you. But ignoring what is displayed on recorded video is...
