This would probably be the equivalent of the 1920 shaders GTX 1070 trading blows with the 2048 shaders GTX 980. Instead it does so with the 3072 shader card. Oops!

Nvidia improved here too. Nothing for AMD to brag about other than saying "First!" in the price/performance/wattage segment, cause if somehow the
390 really is faster than the 480 then yeah, GP106 is going to have an easy time.
Unless this is way smaller than thought. Smaller than Pitcairn. RV670 size.
