Sure, a single store represents NVIDIA/AMD shipments in the entire US.

Some people really don't read anything but the title.

Except that it's not just a single store, but simply another data point that agrees with the other data points already out there (e.g. OCUK, Fry's, certain other retailers...) that strongly suggests this will be a hard launch with comparably massive volume.

Which is to be expected, because the chip is much smaller than the 1080/1070 and yields would have to be absolutely atrocious to not have a sizable stock ready by now. Sure, that's a non-zero probability, but any educated guess suggests it is far closer to zero than the alternative.

So... can we switch gears to discussing 470/460?

Rumor is that the 460 2GB will sell for just $99, 4GB $119. 470 4GB $149, 8GB $179.

So... a $99 Polaris GPU, assuming it has all the same decode/encode features and display support... are we thinking "ultimate HTPC card"?

I really hope they decide to go half-height, short length with this one. Passive likely?

I think its highly likely you will see very small 460's. They are a 75W card with no required power adapter. Should work very good as an HTPC card that only does minimal gaming.

Pretty close to what most of us were expecting. A hair slower than a 390X...probably sits between the 390 and 390X performance wise but uses significantly less power than both.

my guess is the 460 would perform like 960, so 1080p medium to high setting gaming with pci e power only. that would be something.
