Your post calling me a troll has been reported.
Btw, your sense of humor is broken.
Too bad people couldn't keep it civil. I guess I was expecting too much from the Internet.
Without consoles, I'm not sure AMD would be able to survive at this point.
Without consoles, I'm not sure AMD would be able to survive at this point.
In hindsight, the console deals was a deux ex machina for AMD. A golden parachute to fund a transformation to a sustainable business.
Also in hindsight, the opportunity was wasted. AMD continues to bleed cash with no post PC strategy in sight.
Even with consoles who are a dissaster, AMD is practically dead.
Has nothing to offer and is better to die now in order to avoid the console makers to scam them big time.
Consoles better go to exclusively Intel and if they make an ET and crashes the industry, well... An industry crash is wanted in this moment seeing really bad games are being made.
Btw, time to stock with AMD products since they die in 2016 and it will be museum pieces.
And BTW preparig to stocking Intel Celeron and Pentium since when AMD dies, the Core chips might become way more expensive and the Atom chips will be the new low tier.
Thats a dark way of looking at it but I guess its in your name . But no I think Amd lasts at least one more year and then when their products come out we will see if they can secure enough cash to keep going but im not too hopeful honestly. But even if Amd dies I dont think intel chips will go up that high at least not in the short term.
I doubt the CFO will be taking another trip to Abu Dhabi this year.
No, they have a post-PC strategy; it's "let's become a server processor design house...and also keep making PC processors. Oh, and semicustom!"
So instead of competing with Intel in PCs, they get to compete with Intel in servers...while also trying to compete with Intel in PCs...
Yeah, so basically it's just the same playbook as before.
I predict that the Windows 10 rebound will be bigger than some people expect. The number of clients I've talked to who are excited about having the start menu back are numerous. And of course the gamers are excited about DX12.
This year was always going to be rough, but... owch. I just hope they can hold on long enough to get Zen out the door.
But what would Zen do? It sports nothing that says it can turn anything around. It needs an outright miracle to not be another hopeless ROI failure.
