OT: I think it was here, but did someone say that Cooler Master has pump issues to begin with? I have around 5 Corsair pumps in my possession and only the original H50 ever had that weird rattle/gurggle noise. None of my current ones (H60/H80/H110i/H110i) thankfully have issues.

Are they even Corsair made pumps? I thought all these AIO systems were made by Cooler Master or Asetek or another "OEM".

Darkserith, let us know how the replacement unit sounds and which pump you got

I don't have a alan wrench small enough to open the front plate . So i can't verify just yet If i have the new pump or the old pump. I'll get one in these next couple/few days and i'll have the answer then. If I have the old pump i might return this card b/c there is still pump whine at idle. At load, the video card gets drowned out by the game music

..Then again I am a sound freak and my RV02 is freakishly quiet under idle (low rpm case fans and low rpm cpu fans)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qy9Hc4EN7fg

at idle, in a completely silent room (and my room is often dead silent) i can still hear some whine. and the pump. but its a hell of a lot less than my original fury x. i will definitely return this video card if it has the old pump.
**Edit. instead of "a lot less whine" , i will say that after using this for a few hours, the whine of a different noise profile, but EQUALLY annoying. I am hearing ringing whining noises temporarily even after going somewhere far away form the computer. it's bad.

just saw the vid. i don't think it should be a problem with the game music on. have you tried checking if the sound is from the pump or the rad fins..
only thing i am afraid of is that if the sound is from the rad then it will grow over the time. you will need to keep blowing(or vacuuming) the dust from the rad.

not a problem with the game music on, that is correct.

at idle though i can still hear some whine (probably the pump).

i still need to open up the front plate though to see if this is the old pump or not cause i have no idea.

i'm not sure, maybe ill get used to it. i dunno

but it's definitely the pump, not the radiator.

Did you happen to check the serial # or anything else on the package (or card itself) you got the first time, and check and compare with what you have now?
I am wondering if there is a way to tell which batch these are from?

Unfortunately I did not check the serial # of the first card.

First card : buzzing + whine
second card : whine

third card : ???????? I'm thinking about just begging newegg to not give me a replacement next time and to ship me out a Fury instead when it comes out, and then credit me the price difference in what i paid. blah.

It might be easier to ask for a different brand...or, wait for the air coolers as you say.

I only hear noise form air flow?

At 0:41 you can't hear it? It sounds terrible to me..like..some old broken refrigerator. Especially compared to the vid I posted in my original post without my fury x.

In real life, the noise is just a lot worse than the vids. The vids don't do the noise justice.

I find that watching the vid on a silent device such as a phone or tablet really helps to bring out the whine closer to the sound I hear in real life. Or turn up the speakers a bit louder than you normally would

I gotta say, after watching your video, you need a fan less setup. or the mods can outright ban you for trolling. that is about as quiet as any gpu, let alone powerful flagships.

and I am done with this thread.

tldr: op needs complete silence from his pc. I can imagine him literally having a heart attack with air coolers.

Do you own one? I have two of them and the electric type hum coming from the pumps is annoying as hell. As the fans don't make any noise, it's the loudest sound from my system (900d, h240-x). In the video, it's the electric whine sound from 25-30 seconds and as the camera adjusts from 30-31 seconds can hear the sound go away. In person it seems worse, but it's high enough frequency where people may not hear it. I've added enough soft foam to muffle sound, but hope coolermaster has a fix for it as I don't think it's coil whine.

do you have a mic? your phone/camera is not capturing the sound properly imo. which phone/camera are you using.
here is my vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bo5svhqbbYo of my evga 980 sc acx2.0. at 28 sec. mark i have cranked the fan speed to max. i have nokia 1520 with mic to capture sounds in surround sound, still the sound in the vid is about 70% of actual loudness. I think you can say the sound in the vid will be almost the same at 70% fan speed(at full load) in real life.
i hope it will help you compare your fury at max load and a normal aircooled card at max load(sound comparison)

Edit: the pump on the card seems to run at full speed. have you tried reducing the fan speeds and see if the sound reduces?

why would he get banned? he is posting in general vid. card section.
some people are more sensitive and his vid indicates the noise is more than sound of air flowing though radiator.
if he was trolling he would not have gone through the process of RMAing it.
also, newegg would not have replaced his unit if they had found everything to be normal..
it is fine if you do not want to give your inputs but do not call someone a troll like this.

Finally someone who understands what i'm going though.

to those who say that this noise is "normal" or that they can't hear the whine.. i can understand, because they might be used to it or they already have a whiney system, or you have aio's that make whiney systems themselves so now it sounds normal to you.

however, i am coming from a nice breezy RV02-E case. my case specializes in air cooling, i have never had liquid cooling of any sort. its supposed to be a nice morning breeze at idle, and a windy day at load.

HOWEVER again theres this electric whine, that Eymer has similarly mentioned, that I have.

I want to emphasize again that this noise must be heard in real life/you need to own one to know what i'm really talking about.

Or then again, maybe it's my crap mic on my Nikon S8100 digital camera. If i had more professional equipment you guys would hear it.

Today i am totally going to make a video on load of my R9 Fury X, compared to Loud on the R9 280x.

Yes, load on R9 fury x IS QUIETER on load on r9 280x. however, at IDLE, the r9 280x wins by a MASSIVE landslide. There is no electric hum coming from the GPU on the r9 280x at load, just AIR. However, there is massive electric whiney annoying noise from the R9 fury x at LOAD, but less air (b/c the fan speed on the radiator doesn't have to spin nearly as high as the fan on my air cooled r9 280x)

MY R9 280x makes loud air airflow noises, but not some annoying ass electrical whine like the r9 fury x does. And i will prove this today! -_-

My point is: AIRflow noise is MUCH MORE tolerable to the human ear electric whiny noise. we are more sensitive to whiney electric noise than the sound of airflow (even loud, high airflow). unfortunately the mic on my camera picks up more air than electric whine sounds apparently, so such sounds are best heard in real life to get a true feeling of the cringe you can feel when listening to the r9 fury x..

the corsair AIO's are either Asetek or Coolit designs

I got two of each, H50/80 I believe are the Asetek ones with H110i/110i being the Coolit ones.

I haven't owned any other style, and can only vouch for the ones I have. Thankfully they don't make more noise then the case fans I use.

Seeing the second video for the Fury X pump, that noise level and whine would not be an issue for me and right now my rig is perhaps 2-3 feet away from my desk setup. When I go Living room mode (before I had my rig in a closet in the office but life changes made me sacrifice my office ) I could have stuck whatever on that thing and it could scream like a banshee all it wanted haha.

EDIT: Woof, saw the OP get slammed. You can clearly still hear the whine. How one can say they can't is a blessing for them. It's very much audible in his video, but knowing my rig my case fans would drown it out. Which I'm cool with.

I did another test of my replacement. I think i picked up the sound better on this one. Please tell me guys, in these two videos, at idle and loud, the whine is obvious right??

Note that, in the beginning of my videos, the camera didnt really pick up the noise. But in real life, when i am sitting down, it is 100% audible and noisy. So i had to go in real close to the computer so I can get you guys a real life representation of the noise:

I do hear the whine but man you must be really sensitive to it. That particular sound wouldn't bother me. I have a Laing D5 pump (which is a much bigger and louder pump than the one on your card) on the middle setting and it drones a bit with the front door open but then my Fractal R4 does a decent job of muffling the sound when the door is closed...don't even notice it when I'm near the computer. I say just enjoy the card, play some games (that will drown out the noise), and don't hang around your computer lol

EDIT: On second thought it is kinda bad. You're 100% sure that is the card making that noise?

IMO, sounds like you still have pump whine and a little bit of coil whine on your replacement. My D5 pumps makes a similar whine at full speed, though not as loud. You can hear the coil whine slightly when you were running heaven..I had corsair CLC's in the past and they had no whine. IMO, that whine is hard to ignore.
