Do you own one? I have two of them and the electric type hum coming from the pumps is annoying as hell. As the fans don't make any noise, it's the loudest sound from my system (900d, h240-x). In the video, it's the electric whine sound from 25-30 seconds and as the camera adjusts from 30-31 seconds can hear the sound go away. In person it seems worse, but it's high enough frequency where people may not hear it. I've added enough soft foam to muffle sound, but hope coolermaster has a fix for it as I don't think it's coil whine.
Finally someone who understands what i'm going though.
to those who say that this noise is "normal" or that they can't hear the whine.. i can understand, because they might be used to it or they already have a whiney system, or you have aio's that make whiney systems themselves so now it sounds normal to you.
however, i am coming from a nice breezy RV02-E case. my case specializes in air cooling, i have never had liquid cooling of any sort. its supposed to be a nice morning breeze at idle, and a windy day at load.
HOWEVER again theres this electric whine, that Eymer has similarly mentioned, that I have.
I want to emphasize again that this noise must be heard in real life/you need to own one to know what i'm really talking about.
Or then again, maybe it's my crap mic on my Nikon S8100 digital camera. If i had more professional equipment you guys would hear it.
Today i am totally going to make a video on load of my R9 Fury X, compared to Loud on the R9 280x.
Yes, load on R9 fury x IS QUIETER on load on r9 280x. however, at IDLE, the r9 280x wins by a MASSIVE landslide. There is no electric hum coming from the GPU on the r9 280x at load, just AIR. However, there is massive electric whiney annoying noise from the R9 fury x at LOAD, but less air (b/c the fan speed on the radiator doesn't have to spin nearly as high as the fan on my air cooled r9 280x)
MY R9 280x makes loud air airflow noises, but not some annoying ass electrical whine like the r9 fury x does. And i will prove this today! -_-
My point is: AIRflow noise is MUCH MORE tolerable to the human ear electric whiny noise. we are more sensitive to whiney electric noise than the sound of airflow (even loud, high airflow). unfortunately the mic on my camera picks up more air than electric whine sounds apparently, so such sounds are best heard in real life to get a true feeling of the cringe you can feel when listening to the r9 fury x..
