AMD Releases Catalyst 12.1 Drivers

Anyone experiencing any issues with these drivers?

None here. Works as good or better than 11.11WHQL for me.

Let's see.....Yet another driver release from AMD that's still having issues with:
Black Ops - Check
Battlefield 3 - Check
Modern Warfare 3 - Check
Rage - Check
Many others - Check

I like how the list of known issues under Windows 7 is bigger than the list of resolved issues, let's me know they are working extra hard for the customers.
I sure wish I'd given them my $550 a couple of weeks ago!

You must realize known issues are often very rare issues in specific circumstances/configurations that most users will never encounter.

I know it doesn't list any fixes for Skyrim, but going from 11.12 to 12.1 upped my average FPS in populated areas by a sizeable amount (30% or so) and fixed AA not working properly when forced through the Catalyst control panel. 11.12 may have just been crap, I don't know; these are definitely an improvement. That's good to know. I typically see performance improvements over time with new drivers, even when they don't actively promote it they seem to get faster.

Holy crap dude, you have 3 7970s. Major props! I have the money but not the will to spend that much but I respect it.

I do have to ask, is there anything having 3 cards allows you to do that 2 card won't?

Saints Row 3 def hangs with these drivers. Funny though went back to 11.12 and it hung with those too. It's random and lasts for about 5 seconds each time but it's annoying when trying to do online co-op with my brother (gtx460). Any idea on stable drivers for SR3, if at all? That's the only issue I have though so I may just deal with it.

Two of my video cards fried because of those drivers.

Everytime there is one of those eight page AMD vs. Nvidia driver threads, I just think about those Nvidia drivers that destroyed cards. I think that should end the argument right there, really.

It does. Whether people want to admit it or not, it's an indisputable fact and the ultimate damnation of Nvidia driver support.

AMD won. Even Intel drivers won. It's the way it's ended up, a graphical glitch can't trump destroying your own products through sheer incompetence.

Many people wish it would just be forgotten about.

I went from 11.11 to 12.1 so I can't comment on 11.12. I don't have Saints Row but it might not be the drivers. I'm going to try to find a demo and see what I can find out.

I commented only because I see where known issues with W7 include SR3 hanging and that's what's happened to me. I don't remember if that was a known issue with my previous drivers but it's definitely there. I don't really care to go back to even earlier drivers so if that's the worst of it I'll live. Just annoying is all.

These drivers in my opinion are pretty amazing. They picture on 3 machines I tried them on seems to be crispier especially TV out big improvement. I also had issues with Firefox crashing and so far so good nice and smooth flash videos. I'm quite impressed that they made such big difference on my old laptop and hdmi out. I was using 11's before.
