Alright, so we've had some leaks so far. I don't know if any of it's been confirmed yet, as it's pretty early, but here is what I've surmised so far (massive grain of salt of course):

If if turns out to have RDNA 2 and 12 CU, I could see iGPU performance potentially almost doubling over Cezanne.

If I've made any mistakes or gotten anything wrong, please let me know. I'd also love to hear more knowledgeable people weigh in on their expectations.

Rembrandt has no IF cache. Surely this will make the effective memory bandwidth even further apart.

No IF cache, but RMB has 4MB L2 (in the 12CU version) vs 1MB L2 in Navi 24, that has to help a bit. The point is that the RX 6500 XT has a lot in its favor, but it is also considerably faster than the GTX 1650.

No TB4 is expected IMO
TB3 though shouldnt be hard but it may not be stated so.
Someone in this thread quote me about Rembrandt USB4/TB4 Linux driver...

Z13 and Z16 both list USB4 support. It's just ASUS that have not said anything about it. Acer have also listed USB4 support on the Nitro 5.
Only USB 3.2 gen 2 which is same as last year.
Though gamers are less concerned about it but having no TB4 support is a no go for creators users & high-end segment. No room for high-speed external storage & peripherals

Also confirmed by UltrabookCheck:

Where are you getting your information from?

Yeah I saw this too, nice to have confirmation.
TBT3 is important for me too. I am using Intel laptops and the TBT ports are useful.
The USB PD are also useful, I can charge my phone and laptop with same charger and can charge from either left or right ports.
Good thing I saw this too on the Lenovo Z13

Will switch to AMD laptop with Phoenix. I want that sweet 5nm.
My prime pre-condition for my next laptop, less than 15W CPU and I shall be able to do engineering work on it. For now I am surviving during the work from home season with desktops.

Fully implementing USB4 will make the device compatible with TBT3.

It is fairly obvious AMD do not want to stick an Intel Thunderbolt sticker on their SoC.
On top of this AMD and its partners do not need to send their device for Intel to certify.

For connecting external devices (like eGPUs and NVME drives) you need PCIe tunneling which is optional part of USB4 and which is present in in RMB.
If the laptop support USB4 and you can bet most peripheral and accessory makers will put a USB4 sticker on their eGPU or external NVME product and it will work fine.

Seriously, no TB4 support for Rembrandt laptops so far from Asus & Lenovo.
Rembrandt has support for 40 Gbps. TB4 certifications needs a lot of other features to work as I wrote in a previous post. May well be the case that some laptops for example just can't offer 15W to external devices etc. There are many areas where good support for optional USB4 features are insufficient for TB4 certification which demands all of them.

Sure, but there will be a bunch of new devices that work just fine on USB 4 coming out. No TB required.

I wonder if that tracks with what we saw in the initial product specs page for the Z series? They listed a configuration with 8CUs, which matches up with a Rembrandt that has one WGP disabled in each of its two gpu segmends. It could be a home for otherwise full spec processors that have one failed wgp. They can afford more power for the cpu cores and possibly run the iGPU faster to compensate.

Mythical Ryzen 7 with 8CUs is in the 16 inch laptop, it's an "H" part.
"6860Z" is in a 13 inch Z13, which uses "U" parts, so 6860Z is an improved 6850U. Can't find any spec differences besides the verge video, in which lenovo claims "it's more powerful and more efficient", whatever that means.

Ryzen 7 pro 6860Z - lenovo exclusive. I didn't find any specs, it probably has slightly lower TDP, like the H->HS line

AMD are being a lot more generous with semi-custom SKUs nowadays in terms of who they offer them to.

As for how many times we'll actually see them? No clue. But when even extremely small companies are given even the future opportunity to get their own, I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't the only one.

I am quite happy with my slim7 pro with zen3 . 16:10 1440p for the win.

since a laptop is my only pc, the much improved graphics with the 6800U are a huge factor for gaming as i would much rather not have a dgpu due to cost. weight & power consumption. i love the much increased battery life and other many improvements RMB will offer too. i am planning to keep it for the next 3+ years, skip Phoenix & not purchase a new machine until zen 5/stirix point in 2025-which rumor has it will be another huge leap over the zen 4 generation.

I really want to see 6800U (15W-20W) vs Alder Lake 1265U (15W). I wonder if anyone will ship the 6800U in a lower TDP state. HP did in some laptops with the 5800U, so maybe.

It looks Rembrandt is a very good chip.(from AMDGPUOfficial Twitter):

Here are the links for the above-mentioned scores.
R9 6900HX
Ryzen 6980HS

Both of them are faster than a desktop R7 5800x with Its 15758 points in CB R23, Link. They are also 38% and 50% faster than R9 5900HX, Link.

edit: These scores are just a guess and not official figures given by AMD. They are not even correct, If you read what I wrote above.

The 6900HX scores are clearly fake. 5900HS running at 65W scores 13200 points in CB R23 on Notebookcheck. 35% faster with a 40% lower power budget is impossible. 6800U is up to 30% faster than 5800U with 28W versus 15W. Also I haven't seen any 12980HK leaks.
