Yeah i think they are surposed to receive your chip for inspections before they decide to RMA ... the reason for inspections is because there is a very small VERY small amount chips that are defective...
I once got three Sound Systems from Creative, one by one of course, because there always was something wrong with them. Now I'm sitting here with three systems I can't use, but I don't think I'll bother ask for a new one... They said they couldn't care less about the old ones though. And these are 350$ a piece retail...
hey tuffgong how did yo contact AMD's support??? I have a chip here that's been acting funny for awhile thats still under warranty. I had replaced every other part in the machine repeatedly and the little guy just wouldnt boot one day.
