I use the 240 AIO from coolermaster. Cool and quiet @ 4.1 $50What coolers are everyone using? My 2700x will boost up to 4100 on the stock cooler but it's really loud, it sounds like its shifting a ton of air when it ramps up.
That noctua nh-d15 sounds amazing. Cool and very quiet but I feel loath to hang over a kilo from my motherboard!
If I could neatly fit that in my case I'd be in it straight away!I use the 240 AIO from coolermaster. Cool and quiet @ 4.1 $50
I use the Be Quiet! Dark Rock 4 with 2 fans. I dropped about 5C (+ 2 or 3C more from the second fan) over the Prism and a lot of noise under load. I'm happy with the performance and looks, but it's a bit over priced at $75. The second fan is even more OP, at $25 -- so I rebent their mounting brackets and squeezed a Fractal Design fan I had lying around in there. What coolers are everyone using? Get this case, works perfectlyIf I could neatly fit that in my case I'd be in it straight away!
I like my case! It's a Silverstone TJ09, theres a two 120mm fan port in the top I might be able to fit one.Get this case, works perfectly

Apparently I can fit a top rad in if I use two bits of L bracket aluminium so its on!I use the 240 AIO from coolermaster. Cool and quiet @ 4.1 $50
If it fits in your case and has 2 120 fan sets of screw holes, it will most likely just screw into the case.Apparently I can fit a top rad in if I use two bits of L bracket aluminium so its on!
The TJ09 has funky plastic fan holders, 2 bits of L angle aluminium should work fine though. If it fits in your case and has 2 120 fan sets of screw holes, it will most likely just screw into the case.
Where are all the pics of people still using their retro '90's creme colored cases?I like my case! It's a Silverstone TJ09, theres a two 120mm fan port in the top I might be able to fit one.
That looks almost identical to my parts list. Should be a winner.Today my 4770k rig headed off to the magic smoke cloud in the sky, RIP 2013-2018.
The good news is I had most of the parts already ordered for a new Ryzen 2700x build.
I think I picked my parts pretty well, just curious if there was anything I missed or could have chosen better.
Ryzen 2700x
Asrock X470 Gaming K4
G Skill Flare X 3200 C14 16gb Kit
Western Digital Black SSD 512gb
EVGA GTX 1080 FTW
EVGA Supernova P2 750w
Fractal Design Define R5
Various leftover spinning drives and blu ray burners from my old rig.
Not sure what your budget was. I'm more partial to the Asrock Taichi. If you had extra cash, I'd take a Samsung SSD over WD currently and maybe a 1080Ti - although I believe the 1080 is closer to MSRP and is the better bang for buck unless you're pushing high refresh/resolution monitor (you didn't mention).Today my 4770k rig headed off to the magic smoke cloud in the sky, RIP 2013-2018.

CrackRabbit: NICE RIG!
If its cas 14-14-14-34 it is. Some might be Hynix if they do not have that cas settings.I think G.Skill Flare x 3200 is Samsung b-die.
