Hey everyone! I finally had some time to play with my new Ryzen 9 3900XT
I'm still finding my CPU limits here, but I think this CPU isn't that bad ...
Out of the box it ran all core CB20 at around 4100 - 4050 MHz and less demanding applications at 4300MHz. All that on custom water with Corsair XC7 block.
When doing single core CB15 or CB20 I was sad to see most of the cores hitting 4.35GHz, but first chiplet had core constant clock of 4.6GHz+ with peaks of
4.75GHz!
Then I've tried all core oc and 4.2GHz was easy at 1.2V, 4.3GHz needed around 1.3V and 4.4GHz ... well that so far didn't work even with 1.38V, but I haven't tried too hard yet. Instead I've started playing with chiplet clocking to see how that will work.
I've concentrated on R15 for now as I'm still tweaking and just looking for fairly quick test, but it feels solid enough at that setting.
I've also quickly tried this, but at 1.34V it wasn't all core CB15 stable
The score from that SC run was 215 points.
I think I'm happy with what this CPU can do
Not sure if this is any good, but I did a quick
power efficient profile with 3.2GHz all core at 0.97V resulting in CB20 Core + SoC load power of 53W (HwMonitor stock 99% accurate) and 145W from wall (98W idle).
