This is interesting, Gammaxx 200T is very much like the Wraith Prism.

Hey, let us all know how that works. I've got a pair of those Gammaxx 400 coolers too. (Thinking about upgrading the secondary rig(s) here too with 3600 CPUs.)I have the budget hero Gammaxx 400 that will be tried with the 3600.
Very good finish on the bottom for a budget cooler. They go on sale all the time. I got mine for $17 from Newegg.
Right now, the 1700 and board are at 32*C in the BIOS screen, default clocks, 900 rpm fan speed. But I am in a cool-ish basement, open side case.

I used to spend hours in there back in the day browsing components, and there was always a mob in the computer section. Last time I was in there it was totally dead. Was looking for a microatx case and their selection sucked so I walked out with nothing.
Almost ready to update BIOS with the 1700, 2400 RAM, using some AS Ceramique 2 because my 3600 goes in to test after this.
Of course I forgot to hook up the power and reset

My 3600 idles in BIOS at 53-60C. I wonder if there is something wrong with my mounting.
Edit: That Ponchato video with the 4 AM4 coolers was helpful, thanks. The Gammaxx 400 did well.
It used to be a great store. This trip in there the other day was eye opening. Had to hunt down a sales person, who clearly didn't even want to be there. Neither he nor the other sales person I hunted down after the first one was so bad could tell me anything. Or be bothered to take the time. If they would have had stock, I would have purchased a CPU and motherboard, as that store is 5 hours or so from my house, and I'm very rarely up in that part of the state. Instead I will wait for bios to shake out, then pick them up from Newegg.Yup same for me. I was such a frequent customer in 2006-2012 i would walk back there and have people fight almost over me to get that commission on a sale . I was greeted by name not even kidding. Last few visits there was workers and i was clearly looking at things and not a single soul even budged to ask me if i needed help. It was very sad.
Not sure how such a store that is competing with online only in this region which is southern California can not even bother to have Ryzen 3000. So if i walked into a Frys the only options are Intel seriously? How can you even take this store seriously? This was the same store btw that sold me a gtx280 almost a week earlier then it should have been on the shelves.
The BIOS's in both of my test MB's are currently in a horrible state. No way will I start pstate OCing until I can see the voltages derived from the raw numbers entered. The MB's are Asus C6H and Asrock B450M Pro4, BTW.Where's all the core and mem OCs, chaps?
Chop chop.
Good news for those building on a budget with 3600 and wanting better memory performance. Apparently cheap Crucial (Micron E-die) memory is easily hitting 3600+ on Ryzen 3000 series IMCs with a 1 button OC. This basically gets you within 1ns of the "sweet spot" latency touted by AMD... and at $68 or less for 16GB (2x8GB) of DDR4-3000 CL15/DDR4-3200 CL16 this type of memory is a great value.

Example of how cheap this RAM is ($30/8GB...):

I want to see 4k mem OCs.
Otherwise, I am disappoint.

@VirtualLarryLarry again, check voltages with hwinfo. Take a screenshoot of the sensors panel while running something like Cinebench.
Why? Don't you know 4 is larger than 3?Why? We already know that dividing the infinity fabric will make it silly to do. AMD even said that in a nicer way.
Early adopters. Is it fair to say that these Zen 2 CPU's require water cooling to achieve their rated max boost speeds? I have been watching the userbenchmark scores roll in and it seems that few of the Zen 2 chips are hitting 4.4ghz eg. 3700x. Usually within 100-200mhz
Thoughts and opinions? I also realize new bios will be coming and it will probably take a month or two for AMD to iron out the release.
Prepare for a price increase
