4x16GB Ballistix Sport 3200 CL16 Memory (2x32GB dual channel kits - not a quad kit). This is dual rank Micron E-Die memory.

3200 Auto XMP @ 1.35V vDIMM (XMP) = boring, easy
3466 CL16 @ 1.4V vDIMM = boring, easy
3600 CL16 @ 1.4V vDIMM = failed extended memtest
3600 CL16 @ 1.45 vDIMM = looks good so far, can probably reduce voltage
3733 CL16 @ 1.45 vDIMM = failed memtest

CL16-18-18-18-36 Auto Subtimings:

64GB of RAM that cost me < $240 running at better than XMP settings in a 4x DR DIMM configuration on a consumer CPU: #winning
OK, this looks like a cool tool, but I am having problems using it. So I have 4233 ram, but the fastest I have been told to use is 3533. But when I run this, its stuck at 3200 and calculates cl14 I think I can run cl14 at 3533, but I don't know how to get the tool to let me specify the speed. And my mbench result took 288 seconds to run, but no result chart ? like yours ? And I can't seem to run it using default, it says not enough ram, turn on easybench. Well where the blazes is that ? This tool has no help at all.

I'm not using the tool for anything at the moment other than as an easy way to launch 24 threads of memtest as a quick way to check for stability of memory OC. If it's not stable it usually fails within seconds or minutes unlike AIDA64.

So what tool do you recommend to help me set the fastest timings on my 4233@3533 ?

Wait for the Ryzen memory calculator to be updated later this month:
https://www.overclock.net/forum/28055374-post269.html

1usmus also says no gains beyond 3533 CL14 currently. So if you can do 3466 CL14 or 3533 CL14 with your B-die that's as good as it gets.
I probably can to 3533@cl14, but what about subtimings ?

Edit: Nope... I am on agesa 1.0.0.2, and I think I need to bios to be at 1..0.0.3 to be able to get subtimings better.
It just rebooted 4 times in safe mode.

A little above in that page I see this preset posted by the same guy. Maybe you can start with it and play the timings from there.

How long are you running memtest?

Well I was planning on letting it run overnight, but it actually threw an error after some hours... so I will likely need to tweak timings or SOC voltage a bit and see if it becomes fully stable.

Or reduce clocks to 3533. It'll take me a few days to validate a "bulletproof" config.

ASRock has 3.50 BIOS for the Taichi X470. It has AGESA 1.0.0.3.

Ha anyone successfully sued WD or Samsung or crucial for selling them a 500gb hard drive that is actually 488 gb or, well, every other number just below 500?
You do realize that the discrepancy comes mostly from counting in base 10 vs in base 2?
10^3 byte = 1000 byte = 1 kilobyte (KB)
2^10 byte = 1024 byte = 1 kibibyte (KiB)

Your 500.000.000.000 byte drive has 488.281.250 KiB, 476.837 MiB or 465,6 GiB.

At the higher orders, the discrepancy between the two unit increases, reaching almost 10% when you compare 1TB vs 1TiB.
Note that Windows uses base 2 but wrongly calls it kilo, mega, giga and tera anyway, adding to the confusion.

I have a problem with my build

I won't be able to fit an X570 board inside due to issue 1 in the picture below, VRM heatsinks hitting the fan.
Question : Which X570 has the VRMs mainly on left side, or lower profile?

I cannot stick my other 2x8 GB kits because its hitting the fan, issue 2 in picture below.
Question: Which other SP fan has a lower profile than my Corsair SP120 Fans?. It is 25 mm wide.

If I stick with the Wraith Prism, will the cooling be good enough that I won't need my H110i 280 mm AIO?

This is my Asus Prime B350, I was about to buy the X570 and suddenly I saw it might not fit.
With Zen2 supporting 4x8 GB kits at good speed I really want to use 4x8 GB kits, and I tried and it dit not fit because of problem due to issue 2 in the picture below.

Thanks

You’ve got 25 mm fans there and several manufacturers make 15 mm fans.

If you guys are trying to test your RAM I suggest using Google's stressapptest. It's a terminal *nix program but you can easily run it on Windows via Linux on Windows. I find it works better and is more flexible than memtest and other methods. Instructions are in the link (GitHub) and I can give help if anybody is interested.

I killed an Athlon x4 quad years ago doing the same thing. It happens.

I miss that kind of overclocking. I punished the holy hell out of a Pentium 4 2.4Ghz Northy chip in a Asus P4C800-E Deluxe. I had a window ac unit blowing directly into a Antec 900 with a big huge Cooler Master heatsink. I got like 3.4Ghz i think out of it till i noticed for BF2 i still had some issues with my frames. Set up was a bit much anyways so i backed down to default then shortly later i jumped to a C2D E6750. Blew the doors off the P4 of course.

I can't get my CPU past 4.4Ghz without cranking the voltage so I'm just letting it run around 4.2, as it still beats out the 1700 by quite a bit.

As a side note Vega 64 on water is a dream. Doesn't go above ~45c at full load with OC whereas the blower that would have been nearly topping out before a driver halt.

With the current state of the bios being what it is, I'd just install it at stock settings with the stock fan. It'll run just fine, and you can take your time figuring out what you want to do once the bios issues settle down.

@DisEnchantment I would just get a new mini ITX case to be honest. There's not a whole lot of room in there to breathe, there are quite a few on the market that can easily handle a 240mm radiator without any complications.

Heh! Lapping was more popular when we had all those problems with bowed IHSes and HSFs. Now there's not as much point. Back then, you could pick up 5C or more just levelling off everything. I still have no idea what got into the heads of those engineers who decided everything needed to be warped. Seems like it was all a mistake.

And now of course, Matisse has so much nickel plating that lapping is a total pita anyway. May as well try and delid at that point (which der8auer demonstrated doesn't help much either).

Theres a good chance that wasnt so much a design feature, and more towards a product of the manufacturing. My assumption is the heat spreaders are stamped out of sheets, and the forming of the lip caused the center to bow slightly. They probably just do a better job nowadays on the manufacture of the IHS.
