I might change out the block since it's a few gens old at this point.

Before you do that just look at block and visualize the placement of the IO die and the chiplet and see if your current setup is optimal . Maybe just swapping the in and out or rotation of the block, if possible, may help lower your temps somewhat.

wow I haven't seen a Chenming Case in about 10 years.

I had a grey one back in the day was sad to retire her when I did because it housed so many of my builds.

Obligatory I had that case, too. In black and blue. Bought it in 1996, I think. Strong enough to stand on.

My build is ready, well, almost I have to add 32GB, XMP is enabled now.
Performs as expected, temp is about 65°C in Cinebench R20 (with silent cables)
and obviously I'm waiting to decide on a new GPU (but since the valve index can't be ordered I'm not in a hurry to order the 2080 super anyway.)

The big front fans are a bit too much now, I will see if I can move them to the motherboard so I can control the speed.
(edit: the front fan speed is fixed, that's like a design flow for these cases)
The noise sensor isn't very usefull it jumps much up and down without me hearing a difference. The 2 extra temp sensors are nice, I did put one on the front intake just to check. (22°C)

How fast are your heatsink fans spinning to maintain 65 degrees?

max: speed of around 1700RPM with the silence cables

I also added the extra 32GB, latency is about 2ns slower now. (4x16GB)

The A0 code is about IDE init that isn't complete but there are no (SATA) connections at the moment only one m.2 SSD, I assume it will go away when an extra harddrive is connected.

It doesn't stay in XMP mode with 4 DIMMS, so I will try the DRAM calculation tool to see if that helps.

Not looking to build right now but would you recommend Ryzen 3500 non X or Ryzen 2600 for a 1080p gaming build? Saw a few videos recently by hardware Unboxed and others, seems like 2600 is a better bet.

You mean Ryzen 5 3500? That's an OEM chip.

Anything with a 3xxx is going to have better memory support. I’d go for a 3600.

Considering that the 2600 and 2600X have both been available (and mostly, still are?) for $119.99 here in the USA, $120 for a 3500 non--X would seem like a real bargain to me, honestly, if I were building a gaming rig on a tight budget.

3500 is only 6c/6t, so that makes it harder to recommend, especially with next-gen consoles around the corner.

3500X is available retail-boxed from Chinese importers for $154.99 on ebay. If you wanted to take a risk...
