I'm not sure if any one kit is the favorite, but there was a ~$160 2x8GB kit from TeamGroup that was DDR4-3600 CAS/CL18 which was the cheapest guaranteed b-die I could find on the market.
I got a little ticked at Corsair that I couldn't order the bracket, so I told myself that if I had to buy a whole new cooler, NZXT or someone else besides Corsair would get my $$$. But NZXT isn't shipping their flagship 280mm Kraken with an AM4 bracket yet, how dumb is that?Haha, thats funny in a way. So my 2 Ryzen systems one was a newer H100 that came with the bracket, and then I ordered the 212 EVO bracket and was using that, then got the Noctura. So I have all 3 you mentioned.
That's what I ended up buying too (although I don't yet have the CPU or motherboard to mount it on... ). From reading some reviews, the fin array is a bit smaller and it only comes with one jet plate, but it should be more than sufficient for pretty much any <100W CPU. Temp differences outside of extreme scenarios are small, in the 2-3-4° range. And it's cheap, too!I have the EK Supremacy MX AM4 block on my test bench. It is massively overkill. I imagine it's pretty much margin of error or at best 1-2°C in terms of performance versus EVO as well.
Having that giant copper contact area for a waterblock and the mounting system that screws into the stock AM4 backplate make install with the MX block easy and great.
I have more experience with G.Skill, in fact Ripjaws V is what's in the board now, but just leftover DDR4-2666. I don't know if there's any difference in the actual chips between the G.Skill and the Team memory that DrMrLordX mentioned.Better off waiting for a sale on G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4-3200 CL14 IMO.

Are they? Or did the popularity of Ryzen catch everybody flatfooted? Regardless, I think I'll be looking for another AIO at some point, the pump in my current H110 is likely past the midpoint of its useful life and will soon be relegated to a less critical system. I hope an AIO becomes available with even better heat dissipation capability, since custom loops just don't appeal to me.Asetek is one of the main OEMs that manufacturer a ton of coolers. They are the one to blame for the whole AM4 bracket issue that a bunch of companies are dealing with even today.

Thank you! I did but it could just be the fans maybe. They are Corsair AF140 and not the SP so they move more air. The rad is set as push from the included NZXT static pressure fans and the pull is airflow fans.
Before I added the fans push was working fine and the gpu ran around mid 60s.
Currently, the Asrock boards have been giving the best results. Especially getting your ram to run at full speed. I'm sure others will catch up with their bios at some point. But as of today Asrock has the lead.I've been unable to keep up with this thread for the past 3 weeks, hoping to get a quick opinion before I purchase a motherboard.
I had thought I'd go with a Gigabyte or ASUS motherboard, but I'm pretty underwhelmed with their reviews and performance so far. I'll be trying for a decent (but not crazy) overclock on a 1700 and was aiming for a $150-$180 price. I have 3200 speed ram. It seems like the best currently available option is probably the Taichi and although I really don't like the design atheistic I can look past that if nothing else in that range is proving to be an exceptional choice.
Any thoughts?

IEC is spot on! I have the SAME waterblock and it is VERY easy AND uses the stock C6H backplate, thus eliminating the "dreaded" backplate problems.I have the EK Supremacy MX AM4 block on my test bench.
