Dredging this up... is the Ryzen 7 2700X still a decent pick? The wife's FX6300 took a poop on her, so I'm upgrading the CPU, MOBO, SSD, and new memory. I think what I have picked is pretty standard stuff for the CPU i.e.:
G.SKILL Flare X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) AMD X370 Memory Model F4-3200C14D-16GFX
ASUS ROG Strix B450-F Gaming Motherboard (ATX) AMD Ryzen 2 AM4 DDR4 DP HDMI M.2 USB 3.1 Gen2 B450
And a
Samsung 970 EVO SSD 500GB - M.2 NVMe Interface Internal Solid State Drive with V-NAND Technology (MZ-V7E500BW)
We will be keeping the existing case, fans, PSU, GPU, etc. and she runs a 4k monitor, but only lightly games older STEAM games etc. so the RX580 is staying.
