Sadly this works out perfectly for me as I will be out of town and will be unable to enjoy my hardware even if it did arrive :/
Anyone who has ordered from Amazon received shipping notification yet? Just wondering if I'll have to wait till tomorrow for Amazon to ship.
Thanks
If you're not a Prime member, don't expect the fastest shipping, regardless of price. I've had orders still in process 5 business days & when a item of the same brand at a higher (almost double) spec was on promo for the same price, was able to cancel the original order & able to order the one at the promo price. And yet another 4-5 day wait before that order shipped.
Of course, one can also pay for fast shipping, or if shops on the site frequent enough, get a Prime membership, which I considered, though shop more at Newegg, and already have a Costco membership to keep up with.
Many of these sites will carry the same hardware, and as of late, even Newegg's 'DHL' shipping is much faster than in the past, often for free, or very reasonable cost. Unlike Amazon, Newegg does, for a fee of $2.99, as long as the order is placed early enough, offer 'same-day shipping' with a money back guarantee if it doesn't go out.

Ram came in. Ordered the AM4 water block brackets from EK and a water block for the 1080ti. No word on the crosshair from amazon. It will be another week before I get to do anything since all parts won't be here for a while. Not to mention I have to wait until the GPU goes on sale and wait for that. Painful wait, but I look forward to reviews tomorrow (hopefully midnight tonight. Coffee going on after dinner!)
talk about price gauging... Amazon has the 1800x for sale in stock at $749 !

There are always 3rd party scammers on amazon. I wonder if they actually sell those things? Seems odd anyone would fall for that. I doubt that zen cpus will be in short supply either.
I hope not but leaving work early to make sure I get mine from Microcenter as soon as they open.... not sure how they do pre-orders or if it's still on first come first serve basis but hoping ti have my build done by 11am ready to stress.

I'm considering driving to my closest Microcenter to pick up a motherboard. Since Newegg seems to have dropped the ball on the ASUS Crosshair VI Hero.
I'm wondering if I shouldn't have just tried to get one at microcenter tomorrow as well when I pick up the CPU. Key word here is *tried*. I expect a line of people to be gobbling up any and all decent AM4 boards off the shelves tomorrow. If Amazon is a little late, at least it should come. Otherwise, it could be weeks or months until more crosshairs come in stock.
Also, I think the 1800x sold out at my microcenter. That tells me there will be an absolute deluge of people at that store tomorrow.
When I preordered, the reservation confirmation email had a time it's ready by. If you preorder they are supposed to have it ready and hold it from that time until the end date in the confirmation email (mine says until the 5th).
If you just walk in without preorder reservation, it's first-come, first-serve.
According to Reddit the Tustin, CA store will have 600 Ryzen CPUs and will open at 7:30am instead of 10am.. People will supposedly be lining up tonight though, heh.
