I bought a 1700 and ASRock Taichi. After seeing reviews it doesn't seem worth buying anything over 1700 as they all end up overclocking similarly for the same performance. Will put it in my wife's computer and retire the 4670K in there.
I wanted to get one for my NAS/Plex media server, but there are no motherboards that offer the raid functionality I get with my current Intel based board.

Ryzen day has arrived!
Pretty sure this is NOT going to boot in an a320m-c with a November bios
Got 2 speed tickets and nearly killed a cyclist.
Picking my stuff up now after a lot of hustle. 2 hrs and hopefully we are up and running and doing some oc fun.
Yes @krumme , do you happen to have a kill-a-watt meter to test power consumption?
Was that the first AnandTech forum post from a retail Ryzen system?
seems like the processors are plentiful but x370 boards are pretty much impossible to get right now
The face you make when you realize Amazon had Ryzen orders up again today but quickly sold out when they haven't even procured stock from their pre-orders let alone shipped them!
Got to love how greedy business is right?
You should of went to live chat and start cuzzing them"Really starting to dislike Amazon. Not just for this, but they automatically locked my account this weekend for some antifraud measure (apparently buying a gift card is a red flag) and instead of actually giving that error message it just said my password was incorrect. Attempted password reset about a dozen times before they finally got back to me 2 days later and unlocked it.

That's nothing. Yahoo got my email hacked, and then they used that to access my amazon account. I was on the phone for an hour literally spelling out account info letter by letter with people that could barely speak English.Really starting to dislike Amazon. I have EVERYTHING but the CPU/MOBO & Corsair AM4 kit... I am SOOOO CLOSE... I am so tempted to just start building it now but I usually don't do a build until I have the motherboard so I can figure out where things are going.
I guess I could just throw the PSU in, SATA Drives, Fan Controller but M.2 SSD, GPU, CPU Cooler and Cable Management are obviously out of the question.
What motherboard? I'm trying to decide which board to get right now, got everything else sorted! Was considering the Tomahawk or Pro Carbon, but it seems MSI doesn't want AM4 listed on their site. So no business from me. Same with Biostar. Gigabyte has good documentation and QVL for RAM so was leaning that way but out of stock.
I was going to say... I know I was able to download the manuals for the two MSI's I had interest in last week. What motherboard? [edit] found Tomahawk on MSI, i think i'll buy that one.

I went for the MSI X370 XGAMING TITANIUM, it only has 10 phases but they are likely better quality anyway with less ripple overall.
I like that it also has 2x M.2 and dedicated low latency USB 3.1 ports specifically for VR which is what I am building this rig for anyway.
