That doesn't help unless you actually have the ram. I'm talking about knowing what make and model of ram is single or duel rank before you buy it.google "how to tell if ram is single or dual rank" and read the first entry
Oh man I hope I don't run into the same problems tomorrow when my 1700 arrives. I would point you to the Beta BIOS but Gigabyte pulled it today. I should have downloaded it for my build tomorrow.
New BIOS for the Prime X370 Pro:

Hasn't propagated to all the Asus support pages yet. Apparently, this is the change log:
PRIME X370-PRO BIOS 0511
1.Improve system performance.
2.Make CPU temperature more precise.
Are you talking about looking at the serial number under the heat spreader? I already saw that, but that doesn't do me any good, if I am trying to buy single rank samsung die b ram. It also seems to change by manufacturer, and likely with time as well.google "how to tell if ram is single or dual rank" and read the first entry

I'm curious what is everyone's Ryzen base clock and their SKU...
Mine is 3692.52 on 1800X. That is all cores no XFR... (Using latest CPU-Z).
Where can you find out if it's single or dual though? It's not in any specs, or most reviews, and that's assuming you can find a review.
It won't (yet). There's no 3600 selection for memory speed and you can't change BCLK on Prime X370-Pro.And im hoping in time it will hit the rated 3600 speed.

Hearing of all the new BIOS updates for the new AGESA code has me all like: Must be nice...
Me waiting for MSI's first new X370 Titanium BIOS release... (Stuck on Stock BIOS).
I was talking to gskill support on newegg, and he told me the TridentZ 4000MHz kit I was looking at was Samsung single rank. Its hard to dig up, what ive been able to learn is the faster Gskill tridentz are samsung chips, as are the faster corsair lpx/dominators are also samsung chips. Basically anything over 3400-3600 seems to be samsung b die's. And most 8GB dimms and smaller are single rank, AFAIK there are no 16gb dimms that are single rank though so all 32GB kits are dual rank(except obviously the 4x8GB ones)
Im likely going with the Corsair LPX 16GB 3600(2x8GB) kit. Mainly because im also likely going with the Asus prime 370 board and this corsair kit is the only 2x8GB kit on the QVL that is guranteed to work at 3200mhz. And im hoping in time it will hit the rated 3600 speed.
