I'm waiting eagerly for the new BIOS update for ASUS Prime B350 Plus.
I want to calibrate the offsets to neutralize the AMD feature of reporting +20°C on the CPU temperature.
I have 54 °C on 1700X with Noctua Air Cooler. which means I have 34 °C. AMD is nuts reporting +20 °C more. the air flow noise is bothering me and also I feel cold due to the air flow on my right hand next to the computer WTH.

Got my TridentZ 3200 CL16 RAM today. Could get it up to 2933 without issue but it would not post at 3200, which very few are at the moment. I'm happy for now since I couldn't get over 2400 with my LPX before. We'll see what happens once some BIOS updates come.

OK, after replacing my noisey Corsair fans, its kept dying, at only 86c (66c really), so I temporarily put push/pull on my Corsair H100i, but I would like to know what you think are the quietest 120 mm fans that push as much air as possible. Also, do you thin pus or pull the air from the radiator ? Maybe I need to pull out of, instead of mush into.

From Slashdot about the FMA3 workload bug on the Ryzen's:

AMD says the company has been able to figure out why FMA3 code is causing system hangs on PCs using a new Ryzen desktop processor. From a report: Although AMD didn't provide a detailed report on the problem's root cause, the company said that BIOS changes will be distributed to motherboard manufacturers to resolve the issue. Customers are encouraged to keep an eye on their motherboard vendor's website for an update. "We are aware of select instances where FMA code can result in a system hang," the company said. "We have identified the root cause." AMD released three Ryzen-branded desktop processors at the beginning of March that plug into motherboards based on AMD's new AM4 socket. The trio of processors include the Ryzen 7 1800X, the Ryzen 7 1700X, and the Ryzen 7 1700. However, all three reportedly cause a hard system lock when running certain FMA3 workloads. The problem was replicated across all three processors and a variety of motherboards.

I can't say for certain on fans, but I would think running push+pull (4 total fans) at lower RPMs would be the quietest setup.

Looks like Newegg started carrying the G.Skill FlareX DDR4-3200 CL14 kits (in 2x8GB capacity only) validated for Ryzen X370/B350 motherboards. They are predictably OOS and carry a bit of price premium.

I'll wait for some user reports and keep my eye on them until 4x16GB kits are released... I want 64GB of RAM in my X370 build.

Time will tell how they hold up, but I had no complaints about my experience with my mATX MSI B350M Gaming Pro. It had an easy to use, stable BIOS and multiplier change to 40 on auto-everything resulted in a stupidly simple 1800X overclock. People rag on the VRMs but I think for ~1.30V-1.35V or less to your CPU on overclock they are likely fine. Similar stories for their higher end boards, though those seem overpriced relative to their component quality.

I just for an update from AsRock on the X370 Taichi availability.

The next shipment is going out Thursday, March 30 to MA LABS, MicroCenter and Newegg.

It will be sent out in the following order: MA LABS > MicroCenter > Newegg

The following is the number of units that will ship

MA LABS: 200 units

MicroCenter: 100 units

Newegg: 200 units

The shipment after that will be in the middle of April.

This will be the last shipment in April.

All of these shipments are being flown in.

Generally availability is in May. That's when the units that are coming from ships would arrive.

AS ALWAYS: DO NOT POST THIS ON REDDIT!

If you get the itch, just smack yourself in the face.

Ryzen 5 is not too far ahead so demand will shift down from high end mobos.
Would be nice if P-State OC is made easy on mid and low mobos.

But in my case setup,I can't, one or the other,

I think one mistake people do is take the rad out of context, context being the case.
If the rad is top mounted, tuning the front intake, using the rear fan as low RPM intake (don't forget to add an air filter) might help more than better fans on the rad.

EDIT - you could experiment first by blocking/unplugging the rear fan and see if CPU temps get any better but monitor VRM temps too. Assuming top mounted rad.

I have my case side cover off. But that does give me an idea. Putting it back on makes for positive pressure in the case, which the top mounted rad would then be more efficient at expelling. ! I will try that.

Hey Markfw, how are you my twin bro?

Which GPU did you pair with your Ryzen CPU?

I might get a Ryzen 1700 and pair it with one of my 4 old R9 290x while it is being replaced by 2 x GTX 1080ti.

I am waiting on the 1080TI FTW from EVGA (may availability)

And I just noticed why you comment on us being twins, we DO look a lot alike.

Has anyone ordered from MA LABS before?

http://www.malabs.com/

Doesn't seem like regular end users are able to purchase from MA Labs:

"
What is the difference between an Official Online Account and a
Temporary Online Account?Back

Temporary online account is open to all users, and a valid Ma Labs Business Customer Account is not required. It only valid for a period of time and the registration process is easy and fast. A temporary online account has limited access to the website. With temporary account, users can check product price, but are unable to place orders. Official online account is permanent, and a valid Ma Labs Business Customer Account is required. A Customer ID is required during the registration of an Official Online Account, and it will be assigned to user when the user becomes a Ma Labs Customer. Users have full access to the website with official online account, including pricing, order placing and tracking."

I'd say it's a good setup. I'm running two 390s:

Versus with one:

I'm running them undervolted and slightly underclocked, so they don't hit consume too much power (not much more than RX 480 at peak).

This one: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811853012

Cheap, but works great with the H100i, my second one if these, both with H100i coolers. The other houses an E5-2683 v3 14 core.

The Kendomen is a very nice case, very good ventilation.
The DeepCool fans are very quiet, but precisely because of that, don't push a lot of air

Is the 1700X stock?
If not, what voltage?
