@aigomorla 1800X is $464.99 from both Amazon and B&H, hopefully you don't get taxed at one of those.
Damn that m.2 is pricey!!

Which build?I Just want to know if this build is fully capable of VR?
Hey guys, looking to put together a new ryzen system. I'm upgrading from a 2500k. I had a few questions trying to decide between parts. I have already ordered an asrock taichi mobo.
1) RAM - I'm trying to decide if I should pick up some Gskill 3200 CL14 (possibly the Flare X) as I know it will be most likely to work with minimal hassle at the rated speeds. My other option is Gskill TridentZ 3600 CL15, which seems like very nice memory. I'm hoping that with the updates AMD and ASrock are pushing out, that 3600 RAM will be supported soon. And I figure memory rated at 3600 CL 15 should have no problem running at 3200, but that seems to be pretty variable. I also wonder if Gskill will be releasing Flare X at higher speeds (e.g. 3600) in the near future that may be more compatible (although I'm not sure how much that matters). I would be getting 2x8 GB kits.
2) 1700 vs 1700x - The price difference is only 50 dollars or so, and I'm wondering if the better binned 1700x might OC better. I have a swiftech h240x cooler, so I think I should be able to push a decent OC.
If anyone has any opinions on these I would be very grateful, as I'd like to order my parts soon.
I have started piecing out a Ryzen platform to hold me off until skylake-x and 12cores.
But as i am adding stuff up it is getting expensive.
200 for a taichi X370 (16+2 phase VRM's i definitely wants
219 for 32 gigs QVL ram. G.Skill 240
Anyhow need to do a bit more research on parts, as i think thats what i am gonna go with, unless someone want to recommend me better tier parts. (no i am not looking for cheaper, i am look for better, but not obnoxiously more expensive for less, ie... msi titanium vs taichi)
MarkFW has DDR4 running at 3200GHz, as an example. The 3200 rams are 1.35v i heard they wont work on a x370.
They are also not listed in the QVL

Usually cheaper on ebay. It's been as low as $429 on ebay just a week ago.@aigomorla 1800X is $464.99 from both Amazon and B&H, hopefully you don't get taxed at one of those.
Make sure and get a heatsink for the m.2, they do get hot. Mine got so hot the system locked up. You can use a heat sink from an old motherbord's VRM, cut it to size, and strap it on with zip ties. I would recommend this memory for the speed. Ryzen LOVES fast memory.I have started piecing out a Ryzen platform to hold me off until skylake-x and 12cores.

450 for m.2 SSD. 960 Evo 1TB
480 for the 1800X
sigh although i find it halarious that a "X" branded cpu from intel alone would cost more then a complete top of the line Ryzen system.

See my other post. This memory is in my Taichi, and my other motherboard, and they both run 3200 (but I only have 2 sticks)The 3200 rams are 1.35v i heard they wont work on a x370.

There's a new Gigabyte BIOS with AGESA 1.0.0.5: http://forum.gigabyte.us/thread/886/am4-beta-bios-thread?page=55&scrollTo=4891
Those mem settings! (incl. CR of course!) (more pics at the imgur links):

I have no idea what any of that stands for ....
Many are new to me, too. But there's no need to know them all. One important option is the command rate setting (fixed at 1T for earlier AGESA versions, except for special BIOS versions like for the CH6, IIRC).I have no idea what any of that stands for ....

Yeah I am thinking that my Taichi should be able to get me to 3200 on my DR 16GB chips with that CR change. I think it's been the big thing holding us back.

I think its part of the issue, but i think the biggest issue for alot of us is the broken ram voltage, it boots at 1.2v and only applies the bios inputted voltage after boot, so if your ram needs 1.35v to be stable at high speeds it wont boot at all at higher speeds due to booting at 1.2v.
