Your Sempron 2800+ is a Thoroughbred-B core with a 333 MHz FSB. Reset your FSB to 166, and you should be OK.

If your machine won't boot, use the jumper to clear the CMOS. That will reset it back to the default conditions, and you can start again.

i have try to clear the cmos with the jumper : dont work
i have try to set the fsb with the jumper : dont work
i have try to pull out the battery : and dont work!!
the fsb was at 200 and the mutiplier at 11.5 11.5 * 200 = 2300
is supposed to be 166 * 12 for 2000 mhz
does it can burn my cpu ?

I assume that the Semprons are multiplier locked. If so, you won't be able to overclock by turning the multiplier down and cranking up the FSB.

If you're lucky, the answer is no. If you're not, you have a nice artifact for your keychain.

The only way to find out is to try. You may have to remove the battery AND use the jumper to get it to clear.

FWIW, I've made a few tries at bumping the FSB on some chips, and I was always able to recover, but that's no guarantee. Good luck.

And you have to unplug the power from the wall as well for the removal of the battery trick to work, have you tried that?

I had the same problem. I've got that same board with a Sempron 2500+.

Try these steps.
1. Clear CMOS.
2. Change FSB jumper to one position, try turning on.
3. Change FSB jumper to other position, try turning on.

If that don't work I don't know. You seem to have some of the same symptoms I had and the preceding steps helped me.

I can't see how you could have hurt your cpu by just changing you fsb to 200. Unless you turned your voltage up all the way or something dumb like that. Have you even run the sempy at default speed? or did you just pop it in the msi and overclock it. Did you have your heatsink properly attached when you turned it on?

right, if he set his fsb to 200, it would be 12 x 200, might have done something to his system (regardless of what mult he chose)
