Is the system even powering up but there's no video?

Do you have the 2nd ATX (4) pin power adptr plugged in the JTAX2 port?

Easy mistake to make.

The system is powering up but only the green and red led on the case are on. The CPU fan is spinning but when I push eject on the DVD drive or burner they don't eject. Man this is ruining my day...

Do you have any onboard USB ports connected to front ports on your case?

If so disconnect all of them & try booting then. A bad USB port will cause this, it's happened to me.

Just disconnected the usb ports and still no video. You think maybe its a power supply problem even though my neon case lights come on and the case HDD and power leds are on?

Best way to diagnose this type of problem would be to disconnect everything but the absolute essentials to get your PC to run or at least post.

First I'd probably take all of my cards & RAM out & reseat it all. The RAM may take several attempts to get it to actually 'click' into place.

Also test out your monitor & video card with another PC if you have one available to do so.

Monitor works with another PC and I really don't feel like installing the video card in another PC but I had an old NVIDIA Vanta AGP card laying around and tested that and still no video. And I'ved reseated everything countless times. I'm really beginning to think it's the power supply because sometime my DVD Burner and CD burner leds light up but sometimes they don't and won't eject...

i may have the fix on the back of the motherboard where the cpu mounts there are 2 metal mounts where the cpu retention bracket attatch to the board. When i first put mine together i turned it on and got nothing at all. Ive had this problem before so i took out the mobo put 2 small pieces of electrical tape over the metal and put it back together and viola it works.

Perhaps your mobo is grounding out onto your case ?

No grounds no bad stuff, I probably had about 30 builds before this-had a one or two no posts on bad mobos- but never this. What? I need to RMA.

Put all old parts back in case an35nultra xp2500 ocd to 2.2 etc and all is good sooo....any opinions?

I rma'd the board. I got the same combo through through a friend (he changed his mind) and everything works great.

currently at 250mhz, htt3. 408mhz ram set at 166, 1t, 2x512 kingston ram at 2.5-3-3-8
no voltage bumps. - haven't tried higher yet. rock solid on prime.

I do have a question on where you configure jacks for 5.1 I see standard windows setup for 2, 5 headphone etc but nothing specific to the realtek. where do I go.

No, I thought I had one in my moms old Athlon 700mhz but it looks like it's not compatible. I don't know where around here I could find one cheap...

But, since my DVD burner, CD Burner, and floppy leds aren't coming on and the drives don't eject but, the case fan and HSF are spinning does that sound like a power supply issue to you guys?

Well, at any rate you owe it to yourself to somehow test your setup with a known-good power supply. It'd be a shame to return or RMA the motherboard and for it to not have been a problem.

Would a 300Watt work? I think I might go look around for one just to see. What's the lowest PSU should I buy to test? I have a DVD Burner, CD Burner, 80gig HD, 40gig HD, Radeon 9200SE, and floppy drive...

Well, I just had the PSU tested at a computer shop and they said nothing was wrong with my 350W PSU. So I guess my mobo and processor where DOA...
