Can anyone give an estimate on pricing? I've never been to one of these things, but people seem to be exicted so I'm guessing their good deals. Also, what exactly is required to get the deal (in terms of corporate e-mail or whatever) and how do they verify it?

Waiting patiently for June 1, Kansas City, KS. I say $400 or so for the Desktop; $500 for the Server.. I think those were the prices last year- but anyway you look at it AMD offers verrry good deals at these tours.

what is involved in doing this? are there limits to the number of units? just how good are the prices for this stuff?

once i hear some details i might ask my mom or step dad to go to the burlington one, they live fairly close

better yet, get you're whole family to go and grab a bundle each. i believe you're limited to 1 of each bundle.

Last year was $250 for Desktop, $500 for Server.

Desktop Bundle was A64 3200, A8N-E MB, x64 XP Pro.
Server was Tyan MB, 2x2.0GHz Opterons, x64 Server 2K3.

It might be..but I kinda doubt it. The one in Burbank last year took up a BIG convention hall.

BTW, you can only buy one of each bundle....so no egay rape 4 U!

I would be more interested in the Server hardware with the standard XP rather than server 2003.

$685 retail value on the desktop bundle but still, a mATX MB and a non dual core CPU? Pretty lame if you ask me.

I am disappointed actually. Last year I think it was dual processors mobo, I expected this year should be dual processors with dual core support, that would be awesome. Get rid of MS 2003 premium, I don't need that

Having to prove you are a reseller remains to be seen. There are a few people here dying to stick it to the "pimple farmers" just for kicks, so ignore them until you know for sure.

My guess is they will look the other way, regardless of what the official communications are.
