there really should be some screenshots for proof.like at XS's they have categories for stable, unstable, untested.otherwise this is pretty useless.anyone can just post anything they want, and they dont even have to own a thuban.just a thought.

I suppose that's true...but would someone really go out of their way to post something false in this thread? It's not like you win something for getting XX CPU speed...it's just to share information.

So is it true that 1055Ts do 4GHz very easily, with reasonable voltages and heat output? If possible I'm going to aim for 4.2 @ 1.5v.

I'll be doing this on an MSI 890GXM-G65 board. I currently only have a stick of G.Skill 2GB RAM, I'm looking for a full 8GB kit so if anyone has any info on the memory controllers capabilities on the new Thubans, please do share.

you wouldnt believe what some people will post just for e-peen.you should want an accurate representation of what the thuban can actually do.otherwise your going to have a lot of disappointed users dumbfounded at why they cant run 4.2Ghz on air stable.

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=250607

has this thread of results, seems 1/2 people can do 4+. but of course I wouldn't do 1.6v like the guy in the list no matter how much more you get from OC. but looks like 3,8+ is not hard to get from these reported results.

Well, I know it's YMMV, but I have almost the cheapest motherboard, and I got 4127, and probably could get 4.2 if I wasn;t so lazy or busy.

And I posted screenshots, if not here in many of the other threads in this forum. And I did this on a $25 cooler.

dont misunderstand me guys.i know what these awesome thubans can do.they are great clockers from what ive seen, doing above 4.Ghz with 6 cores none the less!!!!.
im just saying like the XS's thread a little screenshot with some proof would be great.

Markfw900,yea i saw your SS's,very nice

Not Overclocking, but got my parts today and this is first AT Post on my 1055T. My Typing is even faster!!! Ok, not really, but so far so good(other than the Win 7 Install which was a PITA).

Hello (sorry for my english)

I post my OC with 1090T

For me:
over 4,4GHz is very very hard.
Over 4,3GHz with NB high and DDR3 high is hard.
But with one OC 4,1-4,2GHz but very optimizzation in clock NB and RAM, is easy make good IPC.
7,60 is 250x16.5 (4,140GHz)

My PC:
Crosshair Formula IV + 1090T + WB

I seem to have found my sweet spot. 3.58/3.97GHz with turbo-boost @ 1.44v.

It's still running long time stability test, but it passes 30min LinX (so if it's not stable, it's pretty damn close). I am almost certain that it's my motherboard's max power output that's hold me back. I could get 3 thread stable at 3.95 ghz @ 1.45v, but it dies when I try to add a fourth thread. Didn't quite reach 4ghz, but still not too bad for a board that only costs $60.

I'll update my post if anythings changes.

I think this:
Vcore set to the final is higher than necessary (probably AMD prefers to keep it up for not having problems on processors not particularly successful).
1.32 V to 3.2 GHz X6 -> no problem at the same 3.4 GHz Vcore
1.47 V to 3.6 GHz Turbo -> easy reach 3,8-3,9-4 GHz

1.5 V to 4GHz is safe, fast and with no parameters to NB / MC you can reach the final 4.1 GHz, with a little 'luck well as 4.2 GHz

1.55 V in my opinion is the most stable Vcore ... where the processor has no problem to stay even at 60 ° under load. Increasing the Vcore than 1.55 V, the processor is sensitive to temperatures, ie, eg at 1.6 V will not exceed 55 °.
However, I have tried up to 1.65 V under liquid and I did not find stability at 4.4 GHz, and, indeed, I was more stable at 1.55 to 1.6 V.

HWMonitor temperatures are measured with 18 ° lower than the actual.

Why do you have 3 sticks running? Isn't dual channel disabled when you do that?

Could you provide info on your voltages, CPU stepping (if you can), and OS? And WB is watercooling?

I just had those sticks on hand.

On this board, it'll operate 4gb of ram in dual channel and 2 gb in single channel. That's what the manual says and i did some benchmarks that seem to back that up.

Yes, WB is watercooling.

E0 step is good compared to C3.

I overvoltato up to 1.65 V but it seems, at least with the current bios is difficult to get to 4.4 GHz on all cores.

My operating system is 64bit seven.

1.35 V RS is up to 3.7 GHz
1.47 V RS to 4GHz
1.5 V 4 to 4.1 GHz is in place.
1.55 V to 4.3 GHz arrival

For D.U. 1.55 V are acceptable for the liquid.

I am looking for the right compromise between a max Vcore 1.55 V, 1.2 V NB, NB and max OC Max OC ram (timing or speed), all for the DU

This is 4,3GHz/1,55V, NB 3,2GHz/1,2V. I think for now not RS with OCCT, but I work on....

I was at a MicroCenter today and was very tempted to pick up a 1055 or 1090, but none of the steppings looked familiar so gave a pass. Most of the good ones I've seen seem to be ~BPMW, ~MPMW from week 10 and 12 but MicroCenter had weird steppings like 1013APCW or 1008BPBW. I even saw one 1055T with a different memory controller. (CCB3E instead of CCBBE) I wonder if that's a hidden gem?

Had troubles with both the M4A79XTD EVO - Bios did not support the 1090T and the Asus Crossfire IV, The NB was overheating to 100c, and shuting down.

Microcenter did not have a replacement Crossfire, so settled for a M4A89GTD Pro/Usb3. Oops this had all the features I needed, but also has onboard video.... But it works

Currently at 4G, and running Prime, 20min good

will update

Nice overclock Spook! Did you mean to say your CPU is 1090T? otherwise, how did you get 20x multiplier?

I've noticed there more, different steppings than Deneb. I guess the early ones were from BPMW, since I got a 1010BPMW. My 2nd 1055T is 1013CPCW or something like that.

Question for everybody, I was playing around with my 1055t and disabled 2 of my cores to see what a difference it would make with temps, etc and noticed that it dropped and locked my multiplier to 4, can anyone else disable 2 of their cores and see what it does to the multi? As soon as I enabled them everything went back to normal. Trying to see if its the chip, the board, or something in windows. yes, cool N Quiet was disabled, windows wont let me run in performance mode, only balanced. the Apply and Save As buttons are grayed out.
