If he really wants to throw a fit about who copied who in the internal SLI connectors, lets take a look back at the X1950 Pro's connections and then the 8800 GTX's. The X1950 Pro had two internal connections on one card first. Before the 8800 GTX, all of the nVidia cards only had one.
Well, Jack Tramiel didn't generate Commodore's wins by imitating his competition thats for sure... (as you'd know if you know anything at all of Commodore's history).
That's all well and good and all, but has nothing to do with nVidia and ATi.

Thanks Josh. I knew I had seen it before...just couldn't remember which ATI card had it first. WHen was the X1950pro released?

Edit: Apparently it was released around mid-October.

I honestly didn't even realise that R5xx had a SLI connector, let alone 2, frankly it may as well not have given the stellar use at has demonstrably put it to so far... In any case, the modern SLi connector was indisputably introduced by nvidia, not ATi.

ATI was around long before Nvidia was. So the Nvidia stole the whole idea of making graphics cards.
There were video card companies older than ATi and nvidia certainly didn't borrow much from ATi with Riva128
Released in late 1997 by NVIDIA, the RIVA 128, or "NV3", was one of the first generation of integrated consumer 3D chips. Following the less successful "NV1" accelerator, it was the first product to gain NVIDIA widespread consumer recognition ... RIVA 128's 2D capability was seen as impressive for its time and was competitive with even high-end 2D-only graphics cards in both quality and performance. ... The performance was relatively strong compared to other combined 2D/3D solutions, surpassing even the Voodoo in some DirectX benchmarks.

Rage Pro offered performance in the range of NVIDIA's RIVA 128 and 3dfx's Voodoo accelerator, but generally failed to match or exceed its competitors. This, in addition to its (early) lack of OpenGL support, hurt sales for what was touted to be a solid gaming solution. In February 1998, ATI attempted to "reinvent" the Rage Pro by simultaneously renaming the chip to "Rage Pro Turbo," and releasing a new "Rage Pro Turbo" driver-set (4.10.2312) that supposedly increased performance by 40%. In reality, the drivers only delivered increased performance in benchmarks such as Ziff-Davis' 3D Winbench 98 and Final Reality. In games, the performance actually suffered.

I don't understand the commotion about that damn connection. It's not that unique. Old peripherals has those, ISA, MCA, PCI, VESA, and etc... granted it's on the bottom. Oh now it's on top! Genius!!!

It is stupid to argue over who copied whom in the dual gpu debate. It was a logical progression that both companies pursued. It is like arguing that intel stole the idea of dual core from amd (or whichever was first, heh im guessing neither?)

Maybe AMD did sell millions of DX10 GPU?

"According to fuzilla, it is said tht the ATi RV630 and RV610 will be delayed due to large placements of OEM orders from partners DELL,HP, FSC etc."
